Escape Rod Case,September 21, 2009
By jparker3
"The Escape Rod case seems to work fine. It certainly protects your equipment although I did encounter resistance in slipping the rod and reel into the case. There is some room in the case for accessories."

Xcape Rod Case,August 17, 2009
By daclawfrom Rio Rancho, NM
"This case is a good value, however, I wish the manufacturer would have put in just a wee bit larger pvc tube so that two rods would fit. The top already will fit two reels."

"Pleased with rugged construction. Very good for travel. Especially in a boat or raft where a rod might be damaged. A bit bulky however."

Xscape Rod Case,March 10, 2009
By Gunner7225from Colorado Sportsman
"The Xscape Rod Case is a remarkable accessory for anyone desiring to transport or store a fishing rod with reel attached. The case is very well constructed and adaptable to any configuration. While the case does include shoulder a shoulder strap, the case is a bit too bulky and weighty to set off cross country with. It is ideal for those wishing to care for prized equipment."

Holds everything for a day of fishing.,February 16, 2009
By FishFinder5959from Indiana
"This case is big, maybe a little too big, but it is perfect for travel. There is room for your rod with the reel still on it and plenty of room for another reel, bait and tackle, a cell phone or GPS, your lunch, whatever. The one thing that I don't like about it is that the D-rings for the shoulder strap are too far apart and as a result it doesn't really stay on your shoulder. Other than that it is an excellent case."

Strong enough for a man......,January 6, 2009
By Jeffbrofrom White River Junction, Vermont.
"This thing is gorgeous! Nice rigid tube, nice heavy nylon and nice (there's that word again) adjustable compartments in the bag portion. I was hoping for the quality that would compliment the Loomis rod and the Shimano reel, and I got it! This case is great!"

Good/Identical Substitute,August 11, 2008
By Vegfishfrom South Carolina
"I got a nice two-piece Loomis rod for Fathers day and wanted something to protect it and the spinning reel that I like to carry in the back of my SUV, because I have a long history of breaking graphite rods. I wanted the apparently identical item from the hardcopy catalog with the "Cabelas" logo on it. These were sold out until months in the future, but the on-line catalog also showed this one which is the same with the "Xscape logo. Is well made and should work fine to protect the rod during transit and is designed to carry on your shoulder through airports, etc. Zipper is a little stuborn going around the right angle, but most all zippers are in this application. The adjustable compartments are handy for accesories. I definitely would buy another if needed."
