Can't use in rain,

"Used this light for 1 week and it worked great. Then I hunted in the rain and the on/off switch rusted. Now the light will not stay on unless the on/off button is held down."

"I had to write this review. I got the green LED camo unit about 2 years ago. It was extremely bright for its size and quite compact to keep on hand. I did some evening fishing with it and a buddy lost his glasses in the water so I gave him the light to look around – he was also quite impressed.
I let the kids borrow it for some night time play about 3 months ago. Did not get the light back. Tonight I was leaving the house at dusk and there was a strange green light coming from the flower bed. I investigated and found the light partially buried in the mulch and dirt with a low level of light being emitted.
I brought the light in, carefully brushed the mud from the surface, removed the batteries and cleaned the inside (the light was in an area that gets drenched frequently when the gutter overflows). The switch was sticking a little so I pulled off the rubber boot and spring and cleaned it further. I did not have any electrical contact cleaner so I used some brake cleaner and my air compressor. I finished with a slight drop of BreakFree gun lube on the switch. I also wire brushed the batteries (some rust/corrosion).
I replaced the batteries and the unit worked – but the batteries were pretty dead. I changed the batteries and used a little dielectric grease on all connections.
Light works great and it survived quite an ordeal!"

"I recently purchased one of these lights to fish for trout at night. Recently I traveled to Grayling Mi to fish the Ausable; I had put the light in my pants pocket in case I needed it and forgot that the light was in the pocket. When I returned home I laundered the pants with the light in the pocket and the light went through both the washer and dryer and when I found the light I figured that it would be toast. To my surprise the light still works!
If the light can withstand all that the light can take anything."

"This clip light is a little beauty. Just the right amount of light for cruising around camp or reading in the evening. Even good enough to navigate any reasonable hiking trail at night.
Now I'm wondering if I really need my head lights, but they are still useful when more light is needed or if a hat is undesirable.
I hope the batteries last many hours, but that is an unknown so far."
