"The first forend I got was for my Savage 99E. It didn't fit right. I sent it back for another. The Second one was made a little better but still had to do a lot of sanding to put it on. Was very time consuming. I would not recommend this if you want a good fit. I was later told the reason it didn't fit was because my rifle was an old girl and had a different barrel than newer models. In any case I made it fit and it looks ok! The buttstock fit perfectly."

"I purchased this forend assuming it would fit my Remington 1100. It wasn't even close. When I ordered, I was surprised that I was not asked what guage the gun was. Obviously, this is not a major concern to anyone but me. When the pirce arrived not only did it not fit, it was ugly. It had no checkering nor any laquering on the wook. It was simply a poorly stained piece of wood. I recommed that you call the firearm manufacture and purchase the correct part and not this junk."
