"We were quite pleased with the Cabela carpet. It laid down well in the boat. I read about others who had the glue seep through the backing so I was careful to not overdo the glue. I found this to be true with my install as well. In a couple of spots, where the glue was a little thicker than other places, the glue did seep through the carpet.
I used the recommended trowel 1/16 x 1/16 square top trowel. You must be sure to spread the glue thinly. It is quite tacky so don't worry about not using enough."

"Very nice product and it looks great in the boat. Always buy more than you think you need. Only downside was color wasn't consistent through the 18 feet I bought. Not a big difference but I had to cobble the last few pieces together as I should have bought one more yard and the slight variation was noticeable."

"Shipped very fast despite having no extra fast shipping option available on this item.
I re-carpeted a 15' jon-style bass boat.
Carpet is very easy to work with, glues very well with DAP Contact Cement, and is easy to cut with a utility knife.
Only problem with this carpet: mine wasn't wrapped on a cardboard tube for shipping - it was a rolled-up floppy 16 feet of very pliable carpet, and once it gets folded hard enough, it gets a permanent wrinkle.
I saved some money by laying out on paper how much carpet I would need - buying the 8' width instead of the 6' width was the better option (for my need).
Cabela's had some in-store samples of all the colors, which was nice to see first. I'd buy it again."

"I recently had to make some repairs to my boat and found this carpet to be a perfect match to the existing carpet in my boat. Time will only tell if it will hold up. Too soon to make a judgement on that but I like the appearance and feel of it, quality."
