"Like many of the other reviewer my rest failed. I managed to off just one round before the the stock support ripped apart. I made my own out of duct tape and went on shooting."

"Well Constructed. Good Features. Easily adjusted. Strong but light weight. Rifle butt fits well and the front pad seats the fore-stock with out play when fired. Check the front leg wing nuts for tightness after several shots"

"Although the bench rest is a good product it lacks a good gun butt support strap, The one I purchased and used to sight in my 26/06 failed after only 3 rounds, it failed where it was sewn. To compensate for this and to make this rest a great product at the affordable price that I paid, it should have a gun butt rest made of either leather or webbing rather than the naugahyde that was used. That being said, this would be a great product and one that I would recommend highly with this improvement."

"I am extremely disappointed with this model. The strap fabric for the buttstock tore out in two shots with the butt against my shoulder. Poorly designed due to the front end being significantly higher than the butt end even with the rear adjustment screw all the way down. Just a poorly made and not well designed product. If I can not find my receipt from three weeks ago I guess I am out of luck. Good thing it was on sale so I am out less than $50 and will just go back to my sandbags."

"I just sighted in my muzzleloader and shotgun for the first time using a rest. The rest made it extremely easy to do. I recommend everybody buy a shooting rest.....just not this one. The fabric that holds the butt of the stock ripped after 3 shots and no longer held the gun in place. Spend a few extra bucks and get a rest that will last. Cabela's customer service was great with accepting a return."

"I used the rest to sight in my bolt action 270. The recoil from the first shot broke the piece of fabric that rest against the recoil pad, even though I was resting the butt of the gun against my shoulder. Positive aspects: Easy to adjust, light, easy to transport."

"Not a bad lil bench but i dont think it is built heavy enough to hold up to a large rifle or shotgun, small cal, gun i think it would be fine, i dont care for the height adjustment either, it needs a solid bolt running thru it , lot of play in it also, the bench has a level mounted to it wich is a good idea but mine did'nt have any liquid in it , so sorry to say i returned the secure bench rest, i have bought severl other items from cabelas that were very good products, Thanks"

"The listing description of this rifle rest says "The rest is fully adjustable for elevation and windage." That is the reason I chose it over the others, but that it wrong! There is no windage (horizontal) adjustment on this rest. Overall it seems sturdy although I haven't used it yet as I may return it for one that Does have a windage adjustment feature."
