"I read a lot of the reviews for these shoes before I purchased them, and according to a few the shoes were not waterproof. I will agree to that because there is a large hole at the top were you put your foot. Go above that hole and your foot WILL get wet, promise. The shoes are sized small, so order a size larger than usual. Other than that they are very comfortable and have a very short break-in period. Getting them on sale made this an easy purchase. Highly recommend these shoes."

"good comfortable shoes for a great price. As others stated you should get about a half size larger than you normally wear. I did not not and almost could not use them. My feet hurt for about a week until they stretched a little."

"The tag said size 13, they may have been 11 at best. It was a shame because they seemed like nice shoes and 13 was as large as offered. Order one or two sizes larger than normal."

"The Columbia Kestrel Hiking Shoes I ordered are hands down the BEST outdoor shoes I have ever worn. I like to walk a lot on pavement and they are fantastic. Comfortabe as heck, great support and no break in period. I reccomend them to all.......but there a bit pricey......So do like I did and wait till they go on sale during the winter."

"Great shoe. However, be sure to get 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. Do an in-store pickup to try on if possible. The tread is very tough but it does pickup small rocks that you can bring into the house."
