"I bought this safe to keep a handgun close to the bed for protection. The safe has opened on the first attempt everytime I have opened it. I really wish the keypad lit up when the combo is punched in. I have a small flash light with a magnet on that stays on top of it all the time. The safe also plays a little jingle when it opens. All in all it seems very reliable and decently priced."

"I ordered this safe to install in my upstairs closet. I'm very impressed. The written instructions were clear and easy to use and it was simple to program. It's easy to operate, fast to open and works great.
My only complaint is about the description of the safe on the web site. The web site didn't mention that it comes with a pair of keys that you can use to open the safe if the batteries that power the keypad ever fail. I read in someone else's review that it did - and I'll confirm here that this safe does include a pair of manual entry keys.
There is a small, easy-ro-remove plastic cover on the front of the safe (between the keypad and the dial). The cover has the Stack-On name embossed on it. You can't miss it. If you pull that off, the keyhole is right there under it. The plastic cover snaps back in place very easily.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product."

"Although this is ideal storage for pistols, we bought it to store prescription medications in when the grandkids visit. It is very easy for us to access, but offers a very secure storage that little ones cannot get into. "This is a great product. It is roomy enough for several handguns with ammo or holsters. Lock is easy to set and easy to open and I like having the key backup. It is easy to secure to a wall, shelf or floor. As everyone else notes, the foam pads are very thin but I simply put down a layer of non-slip shelf lining and then put the foam pad on top of that and it works great.
For the money, this is as good as you can get. Buy it."

"I picked this up at the nearest Cabelas while on travel. I'm getting ready to graduate from college and I needed a safe place to keep my S&W Sigma 9mm and Taurus PT145 when I return back home. This safe is very easy to program and I would have liked to have something a little bigger but I can't create fort knox for two handguns. I store my guns on the top shelf which left plenty of room for all my ammo on the bottom of the safe.
One of the things I didn't like is how loud the beep was when you first turn it on, but that was quickly fixed with turning the sound off. I also don't like how thin the foam pads are or how they move around. Prolly just pick up some kind of rubber glue or something to fix that. Also, needs a light inside, will also be picking up one of those. I shopped around for about a month before settling on this safe and I couldn't be happier. I know this isn't going to stop someone with a little determination and a crow bar, but it wasn't made to do that. I needed this to keep my 17 year old brother's curious mind and hands away from my guns. Perfect price, I would've even payed a little more. Stop shopping around and go to the number 1 source. Thanks Cabelas!"

"This product is a great buy! The keypad is easy to program and easy to use. The 'silence' function on its keypad is perfect for its intended purpose as well. Good storage space on the inside for multiple items. Not too impressed with quality of foam for inside shelving...but that is easy to replace. Overall a great buy and a great product for the cost! "Ordered this small vault to small hands and snoopy relatives from my .45 and prescription drugs. Works perfect. Good size and fits most places in the bathroom cabinets or shelves. I could put several handguns in it if needed; but is not to be confused with a vault to keep burgulars out but it would slow them down somewhat. The only con is that the part of the door which houses the key pad and tumblers is plastic; but still even then you would still have to dislodge the locking bolts. I'd buy another for this purpose."

"I purchased this about a month ago and am very pleased that I did. I am storing two handguns (Colt 1911 and Smith & Wesson J-frame) on the bottom shelf and some personal items like wallet, etc., on the top shelf. So while it is a small vault, it is plenty big enough to easily hold 2 - 3 handguns. It is solid and easy to use.
There are only two minor issues I have with it, but they would NOT have kept me from buying it. First, the keypad buttons make a fairly loud "beep" when they are depressed. I can not open the vault without it being heard in most rooms of my average size home. I suppose with a little effort, the speaker could be disabled if deemed necessary.
Second, the foam padding that came to cover the bottom and top shelf are quite thin and meager, ie., inadequate in my opinion. I cut out pieces of 3/16 inch styrofoam and covered them with felt cloth. I like to keep my firearms in nice condition.
Overall, I am very pleased with the vault and believe it to be an excellent value. I would have given it a 4.5 star rating if possible. If you purchase it, make sure you find the little clips for holding the top shelf secure. They are inside the vault, but mine got stuck behind the door opening on the bottom and it took me a minute to realize it was there, rather than being missing. Also, the key lock is hidden behind the small, plastic, silver-colored cover on the front that has "Stack-On" written on it. It is between the keypad and the locking mechanism knob. Just pry it off to gain access."

"reasonable size vault to hold 2 handguns plus ammo. Feels solid enough to prevent unauthorized use of your weapons. The only thing I didn't like is that the vault was very dirty inside out - I don't know what happened but I had to vacuum out bunch of cat litter-like dirt (both silica gel packets were intact so no idea where the dirt came from), then wipe everything with wet paper towels several times, plus wash off the foam inserts as well...I'll glue down the inserts to prevent them from moving around. They'll be easy to replace if needed.
The electronic lock setup was trivial, now all I have to do is to bolt the safe down to the bookshelf with provided hardware. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, perfect size for my needs."

"This is a great product and would highly recomend. It came with everything you need to mount it down to a shelf or floor. The combination you set yourself 3 to 8 digits and very easy to do. "I purchased the stack on vault for my father for x-mas instead of a typical gunsafe. He has a few pistols and with a couple new additions to the family, securing the firearms is a top priority. Shipping was fast and it arrived with no damage to the package or safe itself. It was very simple to set-up the combination. He hasn't decided where to mount it yet but with the pre-drilled holes I don't expect a problem. The only complaint was the over-all thckness of the steel casing. While its plenty sturdy enough to keep little fingers from accessing it, if it was ever stolen I don't see it being too extremely difficult to crack. If you are in a high crime area and looking for secure theft proctection I would suggest something heavier but for our purposes it is a great option and a good value."

"The Mini Storage Vault is great for locking my pistiol in a safe place that I can easly access in times of need. The numbers that beep can be disabled so in the event there was an intruder you could access your safe without someone hearing key codes being entered. The second shelve has two plastic buttons that hold the shelve in place; they were broken in shipment. I emailed the Mini Vault Customer Service department two weeks ago. They said they would send them out promptly but still no buttons. I mounted mine to the shelve through the bottom holes and used (red) lock tight. Great value for the money and a safe place to keep your weapon safe from your children."
