    Sound Less, August 15, 2009
    By maddog458 from Georgia

"I bought this thing and regreted it almost immediately. The volume control didn't work, and 50% of the call buttions didn't work the stop worked sometimes. At 20 yards with a game ear in I could barely hear it. If there was a rating lower than POOR this product would get it. I returned it less then 2 hours after getting it. Poorly manufactured the 9 Volt battery cover could not be installed with a barret in the compartment.
    Very Disapointed

    Battery problems, August 11, 2009
    By 36278 from Alabama

"When I first installed the 9 vote battery the compartment would not stay closed .The lips that keep it tight had broken off, I had to use duck tape to close the battery compartment. I called Hunter Specialty and explained the problem. They sent me A replacement . I tried to install it and be extremely carefull with installation,no luck it broke before i could get it closed. I saw other buyers had the same problem. This is a defect that needs to be corrected and the only way is to change how it is made. poor design ,will continue to be a problem. IF YOU ORDER GO AHEAD AND GET THE DUCK TAPE READY."

    Very Satisfied, May 18, 2009
    By padams1qz from Georgia

"I recently purchased the wireless Prey Master. I was very pleased with the way it worked. I was hunting for coyotes and placed it 200' from my tripod stand and called in a 250# boar hog on the piglet in distress call. The fawn in distress call brought in a nervous doe in May. I also called in a red fox and a coyote on the rabbit call. I did not have any problems with it as other reviews mentioned."

    Duane, April 25, 2009
    By Duaneups from Franconia NH

"Bought this item to call in predators for photographing. First time out I called in a gorgeous eastern coyote and got some great pics. The remote is great as the coyote picked up on me right away as I wasn't in full camo and the clicking of the camera had his attention. The speaker 40 yards to the side of me distracted him enough for me to take 10 pics while he was only 40 yards away. I highly advise that you always carry a extra set of batteries with you as it uses some juice to run this thing. With my unit some of the calls wouldn't work after a couple of uses. When I changed the batteries they all worked again. Once again carry a fresh set with you. The battery consumption is the only issue with this item and easily solved with an extra set. I would buy this item again."

HS Preymaster Wireless Game Caller, April 1, 2009
    By Coyokilr from Mississippi

"I read several negative reviews about the HS Preymaster wireless caller but decided to give it a try based on my past experience with Cabelas. They have always stood by every product I have purchased. The unit has worked flawlessly every time I have used it. The only thing that would make it better is a switch to turn it off to save the batteries. Overall I am well pleased."

    I like it!, March 27, 2009
    By MightyRando from Wakonda, SD

"We really didn't have too much time to play with this, but for what we did, we were quite impressed. I got this to try with snow geese, but by the time I got it out, most of the geese had moved off so we didn't do any hunting. We did play with some of the calls and were quite impressed with the volume and that it also allowed you to play more than 1 call. Even mixed in some snow geese calls with a kid goat (we were bored). Comes with 3 memory cards and has ID cards for the remote. Also comes with extra blank cards so that when you get new cards, you can mark them up to know what you are playing.
Only problem I have with this is that the remote feels like it could be easy to break, but nothing has happened to it yet. The caller itself is pretty sturdy, though. I would definatly recommend this to anyone looking for a good e-caller.

"this caller had some bad reviews so I almost didn't buy it.
but im glad I did it works flawlessly pulling dogs in from thousands of yards away. One down fall is if you forget to
turn the receiver off it runs the batteries down.

Outstanding for the money, January 25, 2009
    By LonewolfDAH from Tucson, AZ

"I just got this call and took it out this morning to see how it would work. I was very pleased with the ease of setup and the range. I didn't call in any coyotes (a lot of ATV activity) but called in 4 hawks and several ravens. One hawk went all the way down to the bush I stuck it in. I read several reviews about problems with the battery cover and card clots not working. I am happy to say the card slots all worked right out of the box and if you don't man handle the cover it goes in smooth. I look forward to my next trip out."

PreyMaster Wireless Caller, January 6, 2009
    By socalhunt51 from So California

"The unit I received has functioned without any problems since receiving it. I have no problem operating the remote from 75 to 100 yds away.....line of sight. It does allow you to pick up those yotes that are circling downwind. The ones that come running directly in are focusing on the sound location so much that you can move a little to adjust your aim on them.

I would have rated it higher but for two reasons. I would have liked it to come camo'd up from the factory but some camo spray solved that problem quickly. Secondly, if it is being sold as a predator call, I would have liked a better selection of sounds on the three cards.....I will only use 3 or 4 of the ones that the unit came with but would have liked to have some other prey sounds. You can get a better card...but you have to order it separately....maybe just a way to generate additional sales dollars.

    Faulty Unit, December 21, 2008
    By Razepigs from Tilton, NH

"I received this unit on the 13th of December and installed new batteries in it so i could try it out. I was skeptical because of the bad reviews dealing with the card slots not all working. I found that all slots worked, the volume was great and the quality of sounds was exceptional. I turned the unit on again on the 19th to show a friend and again no problem. Today, the 21st of December, we decided to go try it in the woods to call in a coyote. We hung it in the tree, turned it on, went about 100 yds downwind and hit the button on the remote. Nothing, so we figured it was not turned on, so back to the unit we went and it was on, but very HOT. Opened up the battery compartment and the batteries were all fused together and so HOT that i could not hold them in my hand. I packaged it back up along with the batteries so they could see what happened and sent it back to Cabela's for an exchange. Thank goodness i bought it thru Cabela's because they are wonderful when dealing with faulty products. I figured i would try one more time and if it is faulty again, then it goes back for a full refund."

    Remote Preymaster, September 30, 2008
By RichardinSoIl from Age 65, love to hunt period. Also phtograph.

"I read both good and bad about this unit. I bought it and am glad I did. I have the wired Preymaster and it is good but with the wireless there is the advantage of sitting it away from you. Mine is loud if needed (actually louder than wired one), all three slots work fine. Have used it at 100 yards (line of sight) and it works fine. Don't know how far it would work but 300 feet is not bad. One thing is different than the wired one. With the wireless the memory cards fit into the reciever with the speaker, which means you have to have the plastic ID inserts that match the card to put into the transmitter. You get pre-printed ones for the 3 memory cards that come with the unit, plus 3 that have yellow tabs you can write in for three more cards. But if you plan on using more than six memory cards you will have to buy more ID inserts or keep a written list for over six cards. I ordered more from the company since I didn't see any at dealers. I read others saying they had broken the battery covers. I can see how that would happen. With my unit the Transmitter door has to have the tab (at the top) inserted then the bottom pushed straight down and it snaps in. The reciever door I had to insert the tab (at the top) push down and forward and it then snapped in place. I advise working carefully with those. No other complaints except user instructions could be better. I suspect you could spend a lot more money and not get a unit much better. For the price I'm very satisfied."

Hunter's Specialties PreyMaster Wireless Game Call, April 22, 2008
By greyhawk from Coastal area of TEXAS

"If you are a varmit hunter - You have to have this ! The ability to set up away from the caller - gives the hunter a great advantage -- Calling in bobcats & coyotes - with their attention drawn to the caller - away from the hunter - is great ! Have hunted varmits for many years -- and with this set-up --- I have taken several Bobcats for the first time -- circling coyotes don't pick you off ! Couple this with a decoy! Bang - another one down ! !"

"so far so good. the slot covers are in the way but other than that everything works so far. realistic sound and great volume. the battery cover was a bit of a pain to put on the hand held unit though. there were a lot of negative reviews on this product but I took a chance and so far am pleased with it but time will tell and I'll let you know how I make out in the field with it."
