"I used these baits on a recent trip to Canada. They out preformed just about everything in my box. I should have bought more the northerns tore them up pretty well. They worked great on both walleye and northern pike I will definitely buy them again."

"I ordered these like most others have after watching doug stange use them on the in-fisherman shows. paired them with the kalins saltwater bullet jigs. The baits seem to be two different pieces glued together, and when you rig them on a jig, the bait splits right down the seam where the colors meet. Don't know if it is because they are the new hand-pour kind or what, but they split apart way too easy. Will try super glueing them, but its pretty bad that you have to glue them before you even use them."

"I too saw these on In-Fisherman and brought a few with me on our annual trip to Canada last year. Used a 3/4 and 1oz Owner bullet head. The Northerns absolutely kill them. I was tying them directly to the 30lb Power-Pro but started using a wire leader because the fish were sucking these in and cutting me off. I tossed this until I finally ran out and was pretty upset that I still had a couple days left with no way to get any more. That won't happen this year as I have 10 packs ready to go. I was using the herring and the smelt colors but I am not sure the color would matter. JUST PLAIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I tried the Berkley 5 " Hand Pour Shad last week (January 2009) and I am very happy with this lure. I caught a 5 lb sea bass and after a couple a minutes another one broke my Power Pro 30 lb line. I would reccomend to have a real strong line if you fish with this lure. Big fish will look for you."

"I had purchased this item after watching the in-fisherman promoting this item. So far it has lived up to expectations catching northerns early in the season, when I was just trying to get a feel for how the bait is to perform. It is a very durable plastic and should perform better when the season is right which is summer and fall and this is a saltwater bait but it works for fresh as well. As far as colors go all depends on water clarity this is a fun bait to add to the arsenal."
