"I didn't really care for this game. The hunts seemed too unrealistic and the controls too difficult to master. I usually have no problems with the controls on these types of games. The story line was too short too. Not what I expected out of a game with the Cabela's name."

"My husband and I play this game all the time. We purchase a shotgun shaped remote holder that works great.
The only problem we have found is that sometimes the animals get "stuck" and don't move."

"The graphics are excellent on the Wii version. Even for non-hunters, this game helps improve hand and eye coordination and is challenging at the same time. Once a "hunt" is started, the player wants to continue until the objectives are met to see what equipment or scenario is unlocked. Has provided many hours of rainy and cold day enjoyment"

"This game is awesome. I have played it non stop all weekend. I am still trying to get through the first hunt so that I can see where I get to go next. The graphics are so real. I have been hunting for 25 years and this game gets my heart pounding just like the real hunt. I am from Pennsylvania so we don't get to hunt big game like this. I recommend this game to everyone. Get some friends together and enjoy the hunt. I know that this is going to be a game that I take to hunting camp with me so that if nothing else the guys can brag about the Kill that got in the game and not have to lie about the one they missed because they fell asleep in the woods."

"I bought this game in summer of 08, so I beat it in two days becouse of no school, but that was ps2 virsion. I bought the wii virsion this Christmas in 08, and it took much longer, which I like. I love hunting preadetors like lions, grizzles, and cougers with 500,. revolver, 416,. 375,. and 270,. in Montana, Argintina, and Zambia. It's cool how, like in real life, there is an open season on small game like Marmot, rabbit, and lynx with an awsome small game rifle, the 22. I love hunting Mule Deer, Waterbuck, kudu, Moose, Red stag, and chomis with 270,. crossbow, Muzzloader, and 338. I dan't like that you can't see your mounted trophies, But like hunting birds like canadian geese, Mallard duck and Yellow throuted sand grouse with the 20 gauge, and 12 gauge. Awsome story lined game. Must own."

"Too bad life can't copy the game, instead of the game copying life. Playing the game, I got my first big bull elk in about 5 minutes, but in life I have yet to tag one.
The hunter in the game, just as in real life, has many options to choose from, such as: caliber and type of weapon, map reading and/or orienting, game lures/scents, scope type and power, game calls, hunting from tree stands or stalking, walking, crouching, etc... While this does offer many different tactics and choices, each different action requires a different input from the game controller. For a computer 'gamer', this may be no problem. For this old dog, it requires me to learn some new tricks. Not terribly difficult or overly complicated, just new to me.
The game's setting and scenery are done in good quality video with an equally satisfactory soundtrack. Game play is enjoyable and a good way to pass the time when/if you are unable to take to the woods. This could be a good teaching tool for the young or new hunter, as well as fun for the experienced woodsman. It simulates all parts of the hunt, tracking, calling, spotting, stalking, etc...but leaves off the possibly offensive/upsetting gutting and skinning. So far, I have encountered nothing too 'graphic', and readily let my son play it.....when I'm not doing it, that is!
All in all, I had to give this game 5 stars. My only complaint, as mentioned before, was having to learn the multiple functions of the controller to give the game's hunter character more mobility and capability. That being said, it is my problem more than a design flaw with the game. Good job, Cabelas!"

"OMG... I got this game for my dad for Christmas now mind you my dad is 71 yrs. of age and STILL hunts. We were up until 1:30 in the morning playing this game . I honestly have to say that was the best time EVER !!!! My mother even got in on some of the action and was pretty good ! GREAT GAME, GREAT ACTION, AND GREAT FUN !!!!!!!!
