A Handy Helper,April 7, 2008
By Shoppinguyfrom Northeastern Pa.
"I had been wanting one of these for some time and I was already familiar with the La Crosse brand so, when I came across this one in the catalog, I bought. Mine has the Oak trim so it fits in nicely with the piece of furniture it rests on. The directions are straightforward but must be understood fully in order to get the unit working right. I tend to glance past sentences and cut to the chase, as it were, but this isn't the unit to do it with. Once operational, everything worked as advertised. I mounted the outside sensor on the shade side of a porch post high enough so it wouldn't get wet but not high enough to read the trapped hot air of summer temp. It is very handy here in the northeast for one needs to know a good accurate temperature before dressing for the day. All the other features are icing on the cake."

Decent clock with indoor/outdoor temperature,January 16, 2008
By desert7packfrom Colorado
"I like this particular clock, and this is my second one. I mounted it in my toy hauler for use during camping/hunting so I always have accurate time & temperature inside and out.
The only issue I've had, is the outdoor transmitter quit working after about 3 years on my first clock. Same thing happened to the La Crosse unit my folks have at their house.
It's a nice product, but for some reason that transmitter quits functioning after a period of time. Maybe they've improved this in the last few years, but the cost hasn't been a prohibiting factor from replacing it when that happens."
