Great coat,

"My wife and I each bought one of these before winter. Its very warm yet light. The zipper and arm sleeve closure on mine came apart. Cabelas replaced it with no hasles even without the receipt. The hood is a little balky for the Northwest but would be a pleasure in the mid west or east coast. Cabelas service is always excellent. Thanks"

Cabela's Dry Plus 3 in 1 parka,

"I have been looking for a lightweight waterproof parka for more than a year to replace a trail worn parka (shell) with a tuck away hood that I have used on the east coast during the past ten years, on more Boy Scout Appalachain Trail hikes than I care to remember.
I have used the new Cabela's parka for the past two months in both snow and rain, with and without the shell, and have been more than pleased with the performance of the garment. In fact my wife wore it for an afternoon several weeks ago, and liked it so much that I purchased one for her as well.
The garment is well made, has many features such as a hood adjustment device that ensures that it protects your face without blocking your vision. The liner is comfortably warm, and if sized properly will allow for additional layering if necessary.
A great product!"

"well made; sheds rain very well; good wind block. the coat is quite roomy for the size rating and allows plenty of motion. it really could use more pockets.
not up to winter weather (cold), but overall, a good 3-season coat. with the liner removed, the shell makes a very good, packable rain coat."

"the jacket is warm and dry for those stormy days and would have been a great jacket for the price but you had to ruin a good thing with that lousey double zipper . trying to zipper the jacket up is the most time consuming event of the morning i would not allow anyone i cared for to purchase one of these .if they would take it back i would let them have itin a second .advise to them get rid of that zipper and i believe you will have a winner"

"Great jacket!!
Very warm even when it is 20 below zero.
Stops the wind great. I haven't had a chance to wear it during wet conditions but overall it's a great jacket.
Took my son to Cabela's last night and he bought one also."

"i got this coat to work outside in to stay warm and dry. first day i wore it i was sweating because it is so warm. it was 12 today and i didnt even have to layer to stay warm. cuts the wind like no other coat i have ever had and keeps me super warm. thought i would have to wear a vest but there is no need. i dont even have to wear a long sleeved shirt with it. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I purchased the product in early December 2008 and the only complaint about the product is the zipping which does not function due to the soft layer of material used beneath the zipper as the zipper always stuck half way with the soft layer .The defect was so bad that I was unable to zip up or down the zipper and after about 5 minutes and with some luck that I managed to get myself free! This defect should be seriously looked into to prevent furture dissapointment to other customers.I have decided not to wear the product anymore and forced to purchase a new outerwear in Budapest,Hungary ."

"This is pretty much the coat I was looking for. The thing I wanted most was a hood that stowed away in the collar, not a detachable hood. That's what this has. The collar seems to sort of stick up but you can fold it down so it's not in the way. The zippers are designed to really keep the cold and moisture out. And it is quite warm."

"I got caught in 5 hours of continous rain fishing with this jacket as protection. Had the shell on with layers underneath. When I took the jacket off I expected the fleece I was wearing beneath the jacket to be wet, but it was dry, so the Dry Plus held up to getting soaked. I wish I would have worn the down layer underneath that day! I have had problems with the zipper, it's tough to get it lined up to zip so minus one star..."

"This jacket is one of the worst that I ever seen in my life. It was intended for my father and it didn’t look bad at first. Still right after the first wash two zippers got literary torn off and made the jacket useless. I’m calling tomorrow to request a refund and I hope that they will accept it."

"WOW! I thought it would be too late in the winter to even wear this until next fall, but I've worn it all 3 ways, and it's just great!
The shell is the perfect all year rain jacket for the Puget sound area. The liner alone is a sweet, trim warmer; no bulk but good warmth, and plenty warm with the shell. It's the perfect ' GO EVERYWHERE-DO EVERYTHING' combo. I get compliments and admiring looks every time I wear it. I won't travel without it. I'd tell you all to buy one, but then I wouldn't be so unique, myself.
Oh well, BUY ONE!"

"Absolutely warm.
I thought the outter material would be slightly heavier but this is very thin. So far it has proved to be nice and waterproof.
Not my desing but I would have made a few changes..... it could use a mid section draw string and a better more secure way to keep the inner liner attached in the sleeves. The collar does not lay flat and is annoying when I am driving and look to my left.... all you see is collar!
Nice parka.... satisfied so far."
