"This is by far the best parka I have owned. Sizing is right, jacket is very sharp looking. I especially like the pocket on the left upper arm, a very well thought of design...I keep my wallet and car keys there where they are easily reachable.
To give people an idea about the versatility of this parka, I recently left on a trip from Nebraska where it was snowing and very cold, the parka kept me warm and dry. Landed in North Carolina, it was raining and warmer. Unzipped the inner fleece liner. The outer shell worked great in the rain. When I returned to Nebraska about a week later, it was cold and dry. I only wore the fleece liner which kept me nice and warm.
Great product, worth every penny. Especially great for traveling in rapidly changing weather conditions."

"This is very warm and snuggly, and it arrived just in time for the ice storm and artic blast that followed. We ordered 2-one for hubby and one for me. I am not a girly girl and I didn't want something pink or white. I am also a bit broad in the shoulders and this fit very well, even over a sweater. I also like the option of being able to wear each piece seperately, especially as the weather warms up, and spring rains arrive. As always, it is a great Cabela's product!"

"I purchased this coat on sale at Cabalas. The sizing chart was accurate and the coat fits perfect. This is by far the warmest coat I have ever owned. At freezing temperatures, I can wear a tee shirt underneath and I am perfectly warm. It is very well constructed and I expect it will last for many years.
In fact, I am so impressed; I went out and purchased the woman’s version of this parka. My wife loves her new coat too. We both highly recommend these parkas!"

"I bought one for myself a year ago and liked it so much that I bought two last month for my two sons to use on Boy Scout outings.
All three of us wore them at our snow camp outing last month and they kept us warm and dry.
The fleece liner is thick and very warm which I wear all the time. The hood on the jacket is plenty big and even fits and covers my whole cap when I wear it. The only drawback is the velco patches along the zipper that get caught on things sometimes."

"The parka is definately waterproof, as verified in rain, snow, and ice storm. Unfortunatly, it is not as warm as I expected. Other garments with a fleece liner have proved warmer in the past. This jacket may require another layer when the temperature dips into the 30's.

"I've had this jacket for about three weeks now and am very happy with its performance. I was looking for an every day cold weather jacket and it has filled the bill quite well. I am a plumber so I needed something that was warm, wind proof, water proof, and washable. It does quit well to excellent at all three. In the last three weeks the temperatures have been in the single didgits to the mid to upper 30's. My daily wear under this jacket is a heavy weight long sleeve T-shirt, light weight poly long underwear, and jeans and I was kept warm and dry. I am 5'-11" and weigh in at 207 lbs. I ordered an XL and the fit is great. The sleeves and back have plenty of length and room for freadom of movement. There is enough adjustment on the jacket in the cuffs, neck area, and hem that you can regulate your temerature pretty well. The hood by its self is a great rain hood and all you need for the cold is a good stocking cap under it to keep your head warm. Something they don't tell you about is one of the sleeves has an upper arm pocket that you can store the hood in when you don't need it. One thing I will note is that the jacket was a bit heavier in weight than I expected. I can live with that for the performance. On a calm sunny mid 30's day the zipper is undone and you are thinking about pulling it off! The Velcro can be a bit of a nuisance from time to time as the cuff Velcro will hook on to the front storm flap Velcro sometimes and stuff of that nature but it isn't a big deal really. Short of TRUE ARTIC conditions this is one great jacket if you layer your clothes right under it. It would be a great jacket to wear to a game on a wet and cold night."

"I have had this jacket for about a year now and I have been pretty happy with it. I live Oregon in the Valley wear everything is green, which means we get a lot of rain, and i work outside often.
Pros: Does not leak, Liner is warm and comfortable (I would buy this liner if it was offered separately), pockets are functional and don't leak ( I keep a digital camera in the chest pocket with out a problem), Zippers all work well and dont leak, very durable to abrasion ( I work in a scrap yard and no tears yet! ), good length so you dont expose your lower back when bending over, good fit allowing for range of motion, breaths ok, detachable hood
Cons: The hood, while adjustable just doesnt work well for me ( I opted to take it off since i wear a hat any way), The Velcro fly over the main zipper tends to catch on things like gloves and scarfs, Does not breath well in higher activity( I think this is probably more a problem with Dri-Plus than the jacket, as i have noticed Dri-Plus products do not breath as well as similar products I own with Gore-Tex in them). color/look of jacket.
Over all this is a good purchase and a good jacket. If you are going to be really active i would go with a Gore product. I would have liked to see this jacket put together a bit better cosmetically, and the hood is overly complicated. I have used other Cabelas jackets with better hoods than this one. Sizing was true."

"This parka has you covered from Fall through Spring. The liner is quite warm and the outer coat sheds water like magic. Everything about this set up is every bit as good as advertized. I drove to the Nevada Cabela's from Sacramento and tried on quite a few differnet options. I was really looking for a gortex jacket to replace my aging one. I was reluctant to go with a diferrent type of rain gear. I drove home having tried most everything in the store. Ultimately price won out, but I'd say I also got every bit of the quality I wanted too. The softness and ease of motion when wearing this parka is awesome."

"The first point I would like to make how Scott at the Hamburg PA store is just another reason why Cabelas is my first choice for outdoor product needs. He was most patient while helping me to choose this parka. I just bought this last weekend and the store was packed by 9AM. I was truly impressed at his professional approach to others while assisting me. I searched parkas all over the internet and hit numerous sporting good stores. Nothing I found really suited me until I tried this parka. I did try on more expensive/warmer parkas but found the liner too tight around my wrists. Several Cabelas parkas were on my list and I am quite happy with this parka. Waterproof was key as my last parka (15 years old) was water resistant and was not real warm anymore. This has them both covered. I purchased a 2XL Tall which was a little surprising as normally an XL Reg fits spot on. I do plan to layer for icefishing and running my snowblower. This seems to be the norm with any parka using the removable liner. I simply did not have enough room around shoulders and arms. Consider this if you do not have the luxury of going to Cabelas direct. Warm, waterproof, enough pockets for all my needs. More than happy with this parka purchase."
