300 ultra mag Scirocco,

"The picture above the reviews is one of the .300 Ultra Mag by Remington. I own a 700 BDL 300 Ultra Mag, excellent rifle . The comments on a few of the reviews are referring to the 300 Winchester Mag. two very differeent rounds. Maybe I missed the point, but what does Winchester 300 mag have to do with the 300 Ultra by Remington. The BC of the 180 grn 300 Ultra mag is .500. That is tough to beat with most any caliber. Absolutely reccommend the Ultra mag to anyone."

Disappointing performance.,

"This summer, I was getting ready for a Wyoming elk hunt where I was planning to shoot my Remington SPS in .300 Win Mag., a very accurate rifle. In the past, I've had excellent experience with the Remington Core-Lokt bullet, never lost an animal. This year I thought I'd try a premium bullet incase I needed to take a long shot. I decided upon the 180 grain Remington® Premier® Scirocco™ Bonded Ammunition, which looked good in the ballistic charts. Well, it took a whole box to finally get a decent three shot group, about 1 1/2 inches at 100 yards, they were all over the place. This was unacceptable for a hunt where I might need to take a 300+ yard shot. Maybe I got a bad batch or something, but I finally gave up and went back to the Remington Core-Lokt 180 grain shells which consistantly produces 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards. Paid off too, I got a nice 6x6 bull elk."

"I've never had a deer run further than 20 yards with this round. Of the 12 shot with them, only one has run at all. Thankfully the 20 yards he ran, was that much closer to the house.
One note of caution, the point of impact of these bullets are completely different than others. Typically, most brands of the same weight are with in a few inches, these are usually with in six inches which isn't acceptable to me. In other words, if you shoot other Remington ammo equal in bullet weight, I advise you adjust your scope or shooting style when using iron sights.

.300 Win Mag,

"This ammo shoots horrible in my Winchester Model 70 classic as well as the Tikka T3 in 300 win mag. The groups averaged 6 inches, I tried different things like cold barrel, hot barrel, clean dirty, made no difference. I swithced to Federal Premium and the groups finally dropped to under 2". I usually hand load only but a new light rifle was needed for this years backpack hunt, and I didn't have time to develope handloads. I will never again buy factory ammo, after this year."

"Started using scirroco's in my vanguard 7mm rem. mag. last year. I was first sold on the accuracy when I was shooting 1-1/2 groups at 250yds. off of bags. The BC is awesome and trajectory is awesome! I got lucky enough to take home a nice bull with one shot. The scirroco punched through both front shoulders and bedded in the hide where I found it with about 65% of it's weight still retained. The shot was only from about 50yds., so I was very impressed that it stayed together that well. I will use only this load as long as they offer it! I can't wait to try it out on a longer shot and see how well it works."

"This is the best, most accurate ammo I have ever purchased. I have a Remington Scendario 300 RUM. Drive nails at 300 yards. I have killed 3 very nice mule deer at 250 to 375 yards and they all dropped like a lead ballon. Doesn't come any better than this caliber and this ammo."

"I have had my .300 RUM for years and the PL III 180 gr. Sciroccos are all I will shoot out of it. I have never needed anything else no matter what I am after in the field. Great round for long or close range. This ammo will put down anything in North America. I am still at a 100% shot to kill ratio on everything I have pulled the trigger on with this ammo. I wouldn't change a thing. That should say it all."

"I purchased three boxes of the Remington Premier Scirocco Ammunition. From the first box I was only able to fire 18 out of 20 due to 2 misfires. I cannot remember the last time I had a misfire let alone 2 out of the same box. I did not expect this from a premium cartridge. At Remingtons request I am returning the two misfired cartridges for evaluation however I don't know what to do with the other two boxes as I can't return them and certainly can't trust them on a hunting trip."

"There is no doubt that when you proceed to load quality Remington components with a Scirroco bullet, something very special is created.
High BC, great weight retention, and quality that is evident in terms of accuracy is found in this product time and again.
The downside is the price; no one would want to punch paper at the range with this stuff---what a waist. However, if you had to go with one bullet, one cartridge that you know will do the job, the Reminton Premier Scirroco Bonded in 300 Ultra Mag would cover any situation."

"Very accurate in my 300 ultra. Started using the 180 gr three years ago and killed several deer and large hogs. The 180s are great on hogs but a little big on Texas deer. Changed to the 150s this year. Same great accuracy and performance with a little less recoil."

"These factory rounds perform superbly. I was able to group inside the size of a elk's vital zone at 660 yards with my Remington Sendero rifle, when practicing for my Colorado hunt. One round was all that was needed to do the job of droping my 6x6 bull. I also droped two whitetails at over 400 yards last year with these rounds and the Sendero."

"AWESOME!!! Winchester model 70 ss/syn w/Burris 3-9x40
This ammo shoots minute of angle at 100yds.
I shot my mule deer at 225yds and he folded up like a dirty shirt. I can't wait to try this ammo on elk.
P.S. I found my bullet and it retained 84% of its weight. Perfect mushroom."

Remington ammo 150 Gr. Swift Scirocco,

"Purchased this ammo last year for my Remington 7MM RUM. It is awesome. I shot 1/2" groups @ 100 yds on the range. During rifle season I harvested a big mature 10 pt. whitetail buck at 175 yds. It completely destroyed the heart and lungs. Also left an impressive exit wound. Deer only stumbled a couple of yards before expiring. Great job Remington and thank you Swift."

7mm Rem Mag,

"I used the 7mm Rem Mag 150 gr ballistic tipped boat tailed Scirocco on two different occasions with excellent results! The bullet has the highest drag coefficient (.533) than any other 150 gr bullet on the market.
My first deer fell dead in its tracks. The bullet created a huge defined wound channel.
My second deer ran about 30 yards, in the snow, into the wood line loosing a lot of blood which made tracking easy. The bullet passed through both lungs leaving a gaping exit wound.
The best bullet I have ever shot hands down."

"I have hunted with these bullets for several years now, feeding them through my .270 and .300 Ultra Mag on shots from 30 to 350 yards on whitetails and other big game. I just had my first animal take 1 step after the shot, after putting several thousand pounds of venison in the freezer. These bullets put the game down for good! I would recommend them to anyone."
