Pick up a pair of these 10x42 binoculars and the very first thing you'll notice is how much lighter they are than other
full-size models. At just 24.6 oz., these weigh up to a half pound less than comparably sized binoculars. Then take a
look through them and you'll be amazed by image clarity and light-gathering ability that you'd expect only from
binoculars costing far more. In fact, we think our Outfitter binoculars represent one of the best values in optics you'll
find anywhere. The design is exceptionally ergonomic and protected by NBR-Longlife rubber armor. A large central
focus knob sharpens images quickly from as close as 3 ft. to infinity, and the exceptional optical components aid
performance in those critical pre-dawn and twilight moments of your hunt. Eye relief is 17mm and ergonomic, twist-in-and-out eyecups conform to the curvature of your face. Outfitters are waterproof to a depth of 3 ft., fogproof and
resistant to the bumps and scrapes you inevitably encounter when you're hunting hard. They come standard with the
patented ClicLoc® strap attachment system, a carrying strap, attachment clips for a binocular harness. Also
included are objective lens covers, a neoprene rain protection cover and a black hard case. Backed by Steiner's 10-year
warranty.

Great Binoculars,September 10, 2009
By Leasurefrom Virginia
"Used the Cabelas/Steiner binoculars for our Alaska cruise. They were perfect for viewing Alaska's wilderness.
If you read the manual and adjust the binoculars for the proper eye relief they perform magnificently. I highly recommend these binoculars!"

Good work Cabelas,September 9, 2009
By wildlifer73
"Recently purchased the Outfitters Series 10x42 binoculars and have used them for several weeks chasing elk in Wy. The clarity of the optics and the reduced weight are great during the early morning/late evening glassings of distant basins. The only drawback I have experienced with these is the focus wheel seems a little touchy and i have experienced "blackout" at times when trying to use this product out of position. Overall a great product for a great price."

Met All Expectations,January 5, 2009
By redquadfrom Lake Havasu City, Arizona
"Cabela's really hit a home run with the Outfitter Binoculars. These are Steiner quality all the way - bright, clear, and snappy. I have been carrying a pair of decent Nikon 9x30's for years, but they don't hold a candle to the 10x42 Outfitters. Haven't hunted with them yet, but tried them out at dusk in the desert behind my house. I was still picking up lots of detail in the low light, several minutes after my old glasses were useless. Of course they're a little heavier, but that's a price I'm willing to pay for such great performance. I don't think you can find anything else near this quality for the price. Highly recommended."

No good 4 J,January 2, 2009
By ExperiencedhunterJfrom Northern california .... not north enough
"ok, well truely i didnt know how to rate these... i thought the glass was incredible i mean really top of the line clarity, looked and felt extremely rugged with the rubber armor on it BUT i had a serious problem leaving me to send them back within only a week. I am italian or in other words larger nose then most. I have also broken my nose like alot of us from back in the day sports, the reason im telling you this is because for these binoculars to sit correctly on my face with no dark rings from being off centered i would have to apply pressure pushing them into my nose to get the correct field of view. I did mess with the eye relief and even let my father and brother look threw them who well are extremely experienced hunters who spend the money on the good stuff like swavorskies binos, and they all had the same problem. you would have to push them together creating pain and discomfort on the nose to get correct clear circle of view. I made the mistake of ordering on line without looking threw them (because I have looked threw other pairs of steiners that do not do this.) the glass was great (felt like night vision in low light conditions) but what is all that good for if you cant look threw them without having pain on your face from doing so. I would recommend if you dont have a larger nose."

"I ordered the binocs for general purposes and for sports. They were heavier than i expected, seemed to provide good clarity, but had a slight greasy substance around the eye piece. The return was accepted and credit made promptly. I will continue to purchase from Cabela's."

Nice Binoculars,July 23, 2008

"Nice clear image from the binos. The only thing that I found a little tricky was the focus on them. It is a little harder then most to have them in good focus. I think that they are a great pair of binoculars for the price."

Outfitter Series,June 2, 2008
By ialeh
"My hunting buddy just upgraded his binoculars to the Cablea's Euro's. I had Cabela's XT's in Camo. After spending turkey hunting looking thru the Euro's I had to have better glass. Not wanting to spend the $850 on Euro's, the Outfitter Series appeared to be worth looking into. After studying the Steiners it appeared that the Outfitters are a combination of the Steiner Merlin body with the Predator C5 glass. After calling the Steiner Repair facility they told me that was true but the glass did NOT have the CAT coatings that allow game animals to stand-out from the background colors. They did say that the glass had all of the advanced coatings of the Predator C5 except for the CAT. I have not used them in a hunting situation as yet, but the casual use of them outside compared to my old XT's is VERY VERY good. I have noticed much sharper images, brighter images and faster focusing. I also like the neoprene rain protection covers, the objective lens attached covers and the straps for the bino harness. I look forward to these being the last binos I every buy. Doesn't hurt that the logo on the binos says "Cablea's Premium Optics" just like the Euro's."

Great feel, but like all Steiner's has major issue,March 18, 2008
By Cowtownfrom Texas
"These look and feel great. I think the optics are good. My problem is with all Steiner's I have noticed that they suffer from blackout if you try to move your eyes around the frame once you have acquired your image. Everything goes black. It is really annoying. Try it for yourself in the store."

Top Quality Binoculars,January 15, 2008
By VeryPleasedOwnerfrom Lancaster, PA
"Bought the Outfitter Series 10X42 binoculars in December for birding and hunting. So far I have used them primarily for birding and am very happy with them even in low light. I wear glasses and the eye relief is very good. When I went to the store to purchase binoculars, I compared the Outfitter Series with the Cabela's Euro, the Leupold Pinnacle, the Bushnell Legend, the Nikon Monarch, and the Alaskan Guide series all in the 10X42 power. After an hour and 30 minutes process of elimination based on weight, comfort, ease of focus, eye relief, sturdiness, clarity, and brightness, I purchased the Outfitter Series. I am very satisfied. Steiner and Cabela's has put together a very nice package. It includes cliploc adapters to be used with Cabela's harness strap, a must for hiking. The sturdy carry case has ample room for the binocluars with the harness strap attached. The hinge down lense covers in front and the neoprene eye lense covers fit good and are very easy to use. The fast focus feature is a real plus for birding. Thanks"

20 more minutes of hunting!,December 6, 2007
By Plugknockerfrom Mount Juliet, TN
"I spent many hours reading reviews, looking through binos, and trying to decide how much to spend before settling on these Outfitter series 10 x 42 binoculars. These Cabelas binos made by Steiner give me an extra 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening hunting time over any of the less expensive binos and I couldn't see much if any difference in the much more expensive brands. Any longer than that, you can't hunt legally anyways -so why spend 3-5 times this for more expensive brands? The size, weight, and magnification power are all perfect for most hunting applications. Got them the day before opening day of deer season this year and I plan to try them out on my moose hunt to Alaska next year--and am sure they will measure up to the tough environment! Great job Cabelas!"

EXCELLENT OPTICS, GREAT VALUE,November 12, 2007
By NORTHBOYfrom CANADA
"JUST CAME BACK FROM FIRST HUNT WITH THESE BINOCULARS AND THEY ARE GREAT. THE CONTRAST, AND IMAGE SHARPNESS IS EXCELLENT. I'VE HAD SEVERAL OTHER STEINER PRODUCTS THIS PAIR IS DEFINATELY ANOTHER GREAT PAIR OF BINOCULARS. I CARRIED THEM THROUGH DENSE BRUSH, RAIN AND WET SNOW; PERFORMED GREAT. I WILL HAVE TO CONSIDER A SMALLER PAIR FOR MY LONG HUNTS THAT REQUIRE LIGHTER EQUIPMENT FOR HIKING. OVERALL VERY SATISFIED AND THE PRICE IS AN EXCELLENT VALUE IF YOU ARE NOT READY/PREPARED TO SPEND MORE FOR OTHER FINE EUROPEAN OPTICS."

Great Buy,November 6, 2007
By RenoTomfrom Reno, NV
"What a great product for the price. I used these on two different deer hunts right after I purchased them and they have been great. During both hunts we had snow storms and they never fogged up and repelled the water. The Neoprene cover is very nice, quick and easy to remove when you want to glass quickly. For the price these are very good."
