"The plastic molded tab in the stock that attaches it to the action is too small, this caused it to break within days of playing with it. The glue if any that holds the barrel into the action also came off within days. The rifle was in pieces by a week and my son was not a happy camper about it. He is a typical 7 year old and was not rough with it by any means it is just poorly constructed."

What a disaster,

"After playing with this 4 times, the stock and barrel separated with no way to repair. My son was so upset. Since we had waited for months on the backorder list and then given it to him for his birthday two months after we finally rec'd it, we didn't even try to return it."

"I bought 2 of thse guns for my 7 yr old & 5 yr old. I was so excited for them to open them Christmas morning, but 1 of the guns stock broke off within 10 min. and the other one broke less than a week later. They weren't playing rough with them just normal play.."

"Gun was not 48 inches long as advertised, only 36. Broke within the first hour of play. Stock and barrel broke in half, no way to repair. Very disappointed in the quality of product. In Cabela's defense, I was offered a refund and return shipping paid."

Works but fragile,

"I got this as a gift for my son for Christmas. He loved the pump action and the darts stick well to the velcro vital areas on the targets (deer and turkey). The gun functions well and is simple enough for a 5 year old to use by himself. The only problem is that 1 week into use the stock broke off of the receiver. The stock broke when he accidentally knocked the gun off of a table. Definately not the type of durability I would expect from a kids toy. Lots of fun while it lasted but now I need to get a replacement."

"This is a very well made toy gun. It shoots foam "shot shells". It loads one shot at a time. It is really easy to teach good shooting habits to a child. The stock is the length of a "non-toy" youth stock. It can be a little big for a very small child. It is a lot of fun when used with the foam targets or the inflatable targets since there are velcro and suction cup foam "shot shells". It could be a fun teaching tool for Hunter Education."

"We ordered this with extra bullets and a target and the gun doesnt' work. What a disappointment for my 5 year old who couldn't wait for me to finish blowing up the target so he could shoot his new gun. Then after all that the gun doesn't shoot."

"I purchased this item for my son. In the 1st 5 minutes of playing with it - it BROKE. I returned the item for a replacement. Once again the gun broke - I could not be bothered calling the company to return so I pretty much glued the handle back on. All in all I purchased the item paid for shipping, returned the item and payed for for shipping back to them. I could not see paying for shipping a 3rd time. Shipping was costing me more than the toy was worth."

"after waiting since before christmas till this product came back in stock my six year old son received this for easter. at first we were all delighted how you could shoot "real" bullets out of it. after two days of not putting it down the door where you load the bullets fell off. thank god mom knew enough to fix that. another two days later the ENTIRE stock fell off and now my son has half a gun. there is no fixing the stock as it is cheap plastic and im afraid to drill it without shattering what is left of it. this is the second gun that we have bought here and both have disapointed us greatly. cabelas has some great quality items, just not toys. please do not listen to your son or daughter when they tell you that they just have to have this. we wasted $40 on it when we could have bought him a .22 for $100."

"It was so great to be able to purchase such realistic toy guns for my nephews this past holiday season. Their dads are big hunters and they have had a good time "hunting" with them. I also purchased the deer target for them and it has proven to be a big hit in the neighbor too! I am looking forward to new products this summer."

"Although this toy shotgun LOOKS sturdy, it's anything but sturdy. The stock is held together by a single plastic tab that broke within hours of my son playing with it. I was watching him to make sure he was not abusing the toy by shooting at anything he wasn't supposed to and he turned around and barely hit the butt of it on a TV tray and it snapped. Nothing will hold it together. I truly believe it is a factory defect. It should be one solid piece. I would NOT recommend this toy to anyone."

"I bought this item for my nephew and from the day we opened the package, it did not work. It may have succesfully shot 3 or 4 times and then jammed up and we were unable to get it to work. I am extremely disappointed with this item, I will be returning it, hopefully for a refund. I would be willing to try another one, may be that this one is just faulty."

"We waited for a long time to receive the item which was backordered from the manufacturer. Once we received it, we were quite disappointed to discover that it was not as the catalog described. It was shorter in length and some of the accessories were not included. We returned the item to Cabela's and received a refund (less shipping & handling).
