Not shockproof.,

"This scope came stock on my Gamo Hunter 220 air rifle. Out of the box, it was extremely difficult sighting in. I eventually invested a Laserlyte bore sighter. I found that the jolt of the breaker barrel on the gun was enough to throw the scope way off target. Believe it or not, I'm not interested in sighting in after every single shot. The scope is not shockproof = the scope is basically unusable. It now sits in my closet and in all likelihood, I'll probably shoot it at some point."

"The "rings" that are included are the narrow slot type for mounting on air rifles and some .22 rimfires. If you are going to mount this on a Weaver style base, you will need different rings. Other than that, the scope is very clear with a longer span of eye relief. Very good value."

"This is a great scope for anyone with a .22lr. It is easy to sight in and performs excellently. I put one on my 10/22 and I have only had one problem with it. The cross-hairs broke somehow, I may have accidentally hit it on something......but anyways, I sent it back to Cabela's and I got a brand new scope the next week. It has worked great since. Truly a great scope."

"This scope is average/ok. Low price is operative here. The eye relief was quite finicky and there is noticeable distortion around the periphery of the image. I would recommend this product with reservations: you get what you pay for in this case. Compared with the two other BSA riflescopes I have, I am the least satisfied with the .22 Special. That said, though, it works reasonably well for squirrel hunting with my NEF Sportster."
