New & Improved Mojo Mallard,

"This new & improved Mojo Mallard is great. I've only used it several times so far, but it seems to work great. Not really sure how it will hold up through a whole season. You will have to use 2 weights or a single heavy weight because in windy conditions, it drags slightly with only one 6 oz. weight. Great Product"

Mojo Floater,

"Overall, I am happy with the product. Very nice to use in deeper water where poles cant be used. Also very realistic and reasureing position for decoy shy ducks. I would like to see this decoy come with metal wings opposed to the card board like wings that come with it now. I went through at least one set of wings a season using the baby mojo, which has the same wings as the mojo floater."

Floating 'spin wing',
February 3, 2009

"An improvement over the previous Mojo floater (using an inner tube for floatation) in that this newer model seems more stable in windy weather although it still capsized in gusting winds of 15-20 mph. The motor worked well after being submerged and is as rugged as all of my other Mojo motors. The erect decoy body size is yet another advantage over the previous floating model and the convenient recharging plug is a plus. I use 2 of the floaters mixed in my decoy spread along with 2 or 3 of the pole mounted models, and this combination works very well for me."

Dont bother,

"I recently bought this mojo floater hoping to have it ready to go for duck season. Did not happen. First one i ordered came with loose wires that were all frayed. So i sent that one back and the one i received after was even better. It came with no wings and the on/off button was completely missing. This was a horrible experience, but probably not Cabela's fault. The only good thing was Cabela's customer service. They were excellent in remedying the situation. one star to mojo."

Mojo Mallard Floater,
January 28, 2009

"Two thumbs up. I recently completed my second hunting season using this product and feel that it does indeed work drawing in birds that might have flared away from a pole mounted spinning wing decoy. The plastic base is much more stable than the first generation model with the foam collar and more realistic in appearance and function than the original mojo floater that rode on the inflated inner tube. It rides in the water well, handling wind and choppy water much better than expected. Several times I've had boats race by on a PHA leaving a wake that I was sure would cause it to flip. It didn't, riding out each wave. I've made laps in a circle around it in an 1860 boat breaking ice and creating a hole and never turned it over. It takes wakes and waves that well. This decoy also works extremely well on calm days by creating ripples and movement on the waters surface that make the set up more appealing and realistic A draw back that has been mentioned are the set screws holding the mounting collar to the motor shaft. These really need to be removed and coated with a thread locker before reinstalling as they have a tendency to work loose. another draw back that needs to be addressed by mojo are the battery terminal hookups. While cheap and easy to replace using a blade type terminal they're not very durable requiring replacement at least once a year. In the early season we'll use use a pole mounted mojo to draw a bird's attention from a distant and place the floater on the edge of the hole where we want the bird to work. By late season ducks are starting to become shy of standard pole mounted spinning wings. During these times we'll turn off the pole mounted decoys and just use the floater. The body separates from the base and can be moved forward and back to adjust the balance point allowing it to ride in the water better with less chance of tipping over. An individual hunting with us was unaware that the base separated from the decoy and accidentally dropped the decoy into the water while running. I hopped out of the boat into chest deep water and was able to lift it from the bottom using my foot before grabbing it by the neck. Before it ever broke the surface we could see the wings were still turning underwater. Once back at the surface I merely separated the two halves, emptied the water from each before reassembling and reinstalling it onto the floating base and finishing the days hunt. There is a loop molded into the floatation base that permits the tying of an anchor line. An 8oz goose anchor with ears has always worked well for us. A plus is that by having it anchored at only one point you permit the decoy to always turn into the wind adding more realism to the set. Many times the wind will change direction and the mojo floater will show this. Knowing that ducks often prefer to take off and land into the wind we'll turn any pole mounted spinners to face the same direction as the floater. This decoy accepts both the wireless remote and the multi cycle timed remote. Remote hook up is just as easy on this model as the original using the same quick connect wiring harnesses. Battery life is just as high as the baby mojo using the same motor and wing combination. Mine give two continuous days of use before I have to recharge or swap batteries, and the 1/8" charging jack makes recharging breeze. Definitely not a gimmick and in my opinion is well worth the money."

MOJO Mallard Floater,
January 12, 2009
By DKMP

"Very disappointed in the assembly quality of this decoy. Four hours into the first hunt with it the right wing fell off. Luckily, the decoy was in only ~ 2 ft of clear water and I was able to find it. If we had been in our normal spot, ~ 6 ft of water I would not have been able find it. I've used ROBOs for several years and use thread lock on the thumb screws that attach the wings to the motor shaft. However, this design has a sleeve that connects to the motor shaft with set screw inside the decoy body. This factory installed internal set screw worked loose allowing the wing with the sleeve attached to fall off. I have thread lock on all 4 screws now. I advise anyone whom buys this decoy to set it out in the back yard and run it all day before to you use it. Also, put threadlock on all four screws. In my opinion, the Expedite robos are a much better design, quality and buy than the MoJo. Two years ago, we dropped an Expedite in water too deep to retrieve it. The next day we used a long dip net to retrieve it (we got lucky). It was still running and I continue to use it."

"Just what I needed. I didnt have to worry about having stakes not long enough or too deep of water. I like the idea of just floating it out. Battery was secured well and it was nice to just plug into the decoy to charge. I hope it works on the big lake with the waves as well as it did in shallow water."

"Had great success with this, pulling double duty in the field as well as on the water. Used it right in the middle of my field mallards, with a little snow spray around the base. On the water I've had good luck with it right in the middle of my big stool, as well as in with my draws."

Mojo Floating Mallard,

By Eastbayduckclub

"Nothing near the product I paid for. If there were a MINUS star rating I would have give it that. As far as refer it to a friend not if I wanted to keep them as a friend. Extremely cheap materials Don't like water corrode's easily On off button froze up & broke day one Slightest breeze flips it over & it happily paddles its way up stream The smooth plastic base shines like it's sitting on a aluminum pie tin Thumb screws on wings are in a aluminum base can't over tighten so they work loose & you now have a one wing duck landing as the other modified cardboard wing rapidly sinks The three cent battery terminal connections work loose and so much for your wing action
Definitely not the product I expected from MOJO PRODUCTS needs a little work."

Carefull if upside down,
December 23, 2008
By BEARMIESTER
from Chicago aea

"The MOJO floater is great. However, there is a potential problem if the floater turns upside down. If it is below freezing and the floater turns upside down it is possible for the duck w/battery to become seperated from the floating ring (slide out of the ring) and sink!! I installed a safety line from the bottom of the battery case to the anchor cord loop in the floating ring. Therefore if the floater flips over and the duck/battery dislodge they will be anchored to the anchor line loop on the ring."

"Excellent decoy with plenty of flash, use with caution in heavy wind driven water as it can/will overturn due to wave action. Last year's model was sent back to the factory and repaired without charge as stated on the warranty. Suggest delay of purchase to maintain warrranty throughout the season."
