"I have to agree with all the reviews. costly, hard to store.FYI do not break them down and you need a north westerly wind atleast 15 mph, but in the right conditions they are deadly."

Adds motion you can't find elsewhere,

"I use these decoys in spring snow hunts and during regular season for geese in the field. They move in a manner that no other decoy can even come close to replicating. Its works better than flagging or the "votex" and when the birds come in they're watching the decoy instead of looking for hunters and flairing off. I back this dek 100%! ... btw the ducks absolutely dive bomb these things so be aware!"

Reelwings,

"I got my reelwings late in our snow goose season after seeing another group set up 1/2 mile from us and kill several snows while we shot very few. I immediately ordered them and used them on a hunt a few days later. When we had sunshine and decent (15mph+)winds, they were the ticket. On cloudy days, the snows wanted ZERO to do with them. They do require a modest, steady wind to stay up, they are delicate and hard to store and transport, and they take some planning to set up but I feel they helped us shoot more snows under the ideal conditions I mentioned."

reel wing flying snow goose,

"There are two style of these wings, I chose the heavier of the two. Due to the weight you need a wind of 20-25mph or the wings will not fly. Considering the cost of the product I cannot honestly say I was a satisfied hunter for I could not use the product as much as I would have liked too. When purchasing the reel wing make sure you order the ultra-light decoy so you can get use out of a pricey item made out of streofoam."

"i am a huge waterfowl hunter and have always looked for an edge to improve my chances and that they have done. yeah if you dont get around a 8 to 10 mph wind they fall but they are a wind decoy so you kinda have to expect there to be a little wind to get them going to i keep that in mind when im out there"

"Works great I found with snows flying more is better I ran 5 last spring and seen great results my clients sure enjoy them to I think guys are trying to use these decoys when there just not a steady wind if the wind isn't 10 mph + we don't even try using them are numbers are up on days we fly."

Not field frendly!,
May 14, 2007
By Yannick

"I purchase one for testing purposes and I am glad I did so. The decoy is made out of fragile foam and is very easy to break. Once the decoy is mounted up, it becomes very awkward to carry around and even more prone to breakage. You need steady wind to keep it in the air and it kept on coming down when ever the wind was decreasing. You definitively need many of them to give an accurate illusion of snows hovering. Still I can picture myself dedicating so much care to one piece of equipment during a hunt. Don't get fooled by the video... not worth it!"
