flints,July 14, 2008
By shotupfrom Al
"ordered these flints from Cabelas hoping for better quality than the ones a friend gave me from his stash. I got the flints promply as with all Cabelas orders. I installed the first one and tried it without a load in the gun. the first trigger pull did not spark. The second and all other shots resulted in positive spark. I am well pleased with these flints."

Useless product,October 15, 2007
By VeryDissapointed
"I have tried both 1/2" & 3/4" Agate Flints. 3/4" are said to fit muskets, they do not. They are way too thin and way too short to work. 1/2" are also too small, even for pistols. Using leather in the jaw of the hammer solves the thickness problem. However, I have tried them multiple times in three different locks and can get no spark whatsoever! Good old fashioned flints work in all three locks fine. These Agate Flints simply do not work."
