Great, but one nasty flaw,September 30, 2009
By MrWinksfrom Michigan
"I think these are great binocs, but I have one major complaint: The eyepieces do not stay in the twist up position. It seems like the detents are too weak to hold them in place. I called Bushnell, but they didn't have a solution, other than to return them. I checked another pair at Cabelas....same problem. If anyone has found a solution, I'd appreciate hearing about it here."

Superb quality for the money,August 17, 2009
By Motts88from Utah
"These binoculars are great. They were also recommended by many other sites as being a best buy binocular for under $500. They have great ergonomics and very good handling ability. Crystal clear optics with very good edge to edge sharpness. I would definitely recommend them."

E2 Binocular,February 14, 2009
By JBear12from from Showlow Arizona
"I have been very pleased with the new Elite E2 binoculars. I have used then in a variety of weather conditions with no problems what so ever, for the price and clarity of these binoculars it was well worth the time to try them before buying a more expensive pair."

Bad Design,May 3, 2008
By Elk30Hunter06from Arizona
"The Bushnell E2 is a very disappointing product. The clarity and ability to work in low light or a lot of light was great. The problem with them is there external design. The first problem I had was with the grease on the twist up eyepieces getting on the lens during extreme temperature changes in northern Arizona (12 degrees in the morning and almost 95 degrees in the afternoon) in late January. Over time, though this problem went away. The extra grease was cleaned away (it took two months and including three mule deer hunts and two javalina hunts). So when you first buy these binoculars be prepared to clean them often.
The second problem caused me to return them (which was very easy to do because of Cabela's great costumer service). What happened was the quick detach mechanism on the binoculars for the strap wore through after only having the binoculars a little over 6 months. Luckily I have a harness strap on and not a standard strap or the binoculars would have hit the rocky ground where I was turkey hunting. In my opinion if the binoculars are not built good enough to stay on your neck there not worth having."

Bushnell Elite E2 Binocular,January 16, 2008
By moosehunter1from Anaconda, MT
"I purchased this 10x42 binocular with great expectations. They were not met. It is a nice ergonomic design, but the clarity just was not there compared to my existing Leupold Pinnacle binoculars. I returned them for a second pair of Leupold Pinnacle 10x42's for my daughter to use for hunting and animal watching."

Top-end optics for 1/2 the price!,July 29, 2007
By Bullockfrom Denver, CO
"Very nice binos! I own a pair of Nikon Monarchs and an older pair of Leupold gold ring IF porros, and these E2's are brighter than both. The optics are crystal clear and the low light capabilities are excellent. When I first saw these in the store I was comparing them to binos that cost 2-3x's as much and these seemed brighter and clearer. Considering these have the same glass and the same coatings as the top-of-the-line ELITE's, as long as you can take a slightly narrower field of view, these are an excellent choice and you can save $400. My Leupold and Nikons are now serving back-up duty!"
