"A decent product for the money. It will hold 34lbs of 'regular' sized dog kibble - at 34lbs it is MAXED out. Additionally, bracing 2x4's will probably need to be in stalled between the studs. The lateral mounting screws are NOT optional."

"We were so pleased with this product! It mounted to the wall very easily and holds 40 lbs of food. We buy the big bags from a wholesale place so it helps us to keep the food off of the ground and also fresh! We have had a problem with mice and squirrels getting into the food before we bought this and it has helped tremendously with keeping those away!"

"this bin does exactly what i needed ,eliminate smelly dog food odors,picking up heavy bags of food daily, easy to install ,holds 40 lbs of food(wouldn't think so, by just looking at it, it seems to small ) one small problem, to close hopper once bowl is full sometimes food gets stuck on edge of the opening but with a little practice, it soon works like a charm"

"I gave this a four for ease of use. I would have given it a five because the way it keeps the mees of food off the floor but it is just too easy to use and I really cant justify calling feeding the animals a chore anymore. now what do my kids do to earn an allowence. no mess to clean and feeding two dogs and two cats only takes two minutes. I am not paying ten bucks a week for that."

"We originally where going to buy two of these, one for our cat's food and the other for the dog's, but wanted to make sure that it did give a "measured" amount of food as we only give a certain amount to our dog each day. However upon receiving the unit we noticed that id does not dispense a set amount of food as is implied in the product description, "...get measured meals every time." However is ti great for the cat's food and works very well, I followed some other reviewers suggestions and installed the unit using large washers to help prevent the unit from pulling through the screw holes. The could upgrade the screws to a Philips or Robertson (square) so that the would be easier to install."

"We love this product, it was as described, Cabela's offered it for half the price of the next merchant, it was shipped right away, and with the mounting suggestions of other reviewers we were able to put it up easily. It should serve us (and our dog Lily!) well. It looks alot better than a bag of dog food sitting around. Best tip we read: use washers to mount it so it doesn't pull away from the wall, since 40 lbs. of dog food is heavy. Also anchor it well on the wall, one bolt should be in a stud, if possible. Thanks!"

"The product concept is great, it falls a little short in the execution. The overall unit feels a little flimsy when you install it, to the point where you don't feel comfortable loading the unit completely full.
The dispensing valve needs a little design work, it doesn't have enough friction to stay closed when you are filling it up. Once you have a decent amount of food loaded, the weight of the food helps keep the valve closed. However, trying to hold it closed while filling requires about 3 hands. After sweeping up the mess from my first attempt, I removed the valve, put about 2 turns of duct tape around the outside of the drop tube and then re-installed the valve. That is working, but I shouldn't have to tweak the product like that!
Redesign the valve and increase the thickness of the plastic by about 1/16th of an inch & you'll have a great product."

"This product handles a 35 lb bag of food without any troubles. Allows for storage of food above the ground and away from the always hungry dog. I would like to see the loading hatch be reversible. When mounted on the wall mine swings up and to the right, which is a pain for reloading, but was the only suitable location. I guess you don't reload it that often, so no biggie. There is no easy measuring with this unit. The wide mouth makes it hard to pour into a smaller cup/bowl. If you don't care about monitoring food amounts its a convenient system."

"I installed this in a basement stairwell, what a space saver! I used to just set the bag of dog food anywhere I had a place and it would leave grease marks on the wood or the wall it was up against, this product solves the problem. I would recommend this product. I may even try it in the garage for salt in the winter."

"This is my second one. The 1st (40#) lasted 5 years before the plastic holes (mounted to the wall) in the back ripped out from the weight of the feed. The new one seems to be not as sturdy. It is however, working well and has no issues. I would still buy another as it is very convenient and user friendly. Tip: When mounting to the wall use oversized washers to prolong the life of the product."

"This product is great for managing several dogs diets. The containers were easily mounted on the wall and hold up to a 50 lb bag of dog food.
