Cabela's Interceptor Ultimate Layout Blind,September 24, 2009
By stepnoutfrom Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada
"This is my first layout blind and I really have never used one yet but will be using next month. I have compared this to several others and find the quality and features good. I will say it does not fold up very small but I knew that before I made the purchase. It seems to have lots of room."

Great Blind,September 21, 2009
By grouseoutdoorsfrom WI
"Got this blind for the 09' hunting season and it has been great. At first I wanted to get the Max 4 camo pattern, but ended up getting Mossy Oak and like it much better. I am a big guy and have plenty of room, its a little bit of a pain to first set up...I highly suggest to practice a few times before the field. Once you get good at set-up it is a breeze. The only negative I can come up with is that it does not pack down as small as most other layout blinds, it stays pretty good size when borken down, but not that big of an issue. Would buy again!"

great layout blind,September 11, 2009
By JJfromLAfrom Jennings LA Love Cabelas
"The best thing is that the thick waterproff material comes up 10 inches , allowing the blind to be layed in shallow water. We hunt the rice fields of south louisiana. This is perfect for laying against a levy and not getting wet."

Needs to be framed in the foot area,September 10, 2009
By killerweedfrom Alabama
"The bilind is excellent because it is waterproof up to about 8 inches but the foot area of the blind has no frame to hold it up so it just collapses in the water. If it was framed in that area it would definitely be the best layout on the market. I plan to build a frame out of pvc to correct the problem."

Ultimate layout blind,May 4, 2009
By Barney226from Middletown, DE
"my brother in law purchased one of these blinds and allowed me to use it for the late snow goose season in Delaware. What a difference this made. I am so use to hunting from field pits its hard to see what the geese are doing above and behind you. Laying in this blind you can see the geese all around you and the corn stubble pattern on the blind worked equally as well in both corn and wheat fields. I believe this blind to be a quality product, it was roomy ( I am 6 feet 225 lbs) and keep me warm. The only thing I would improve upon is the shouldner harness, while carrying the blind the shouldner harness is stiched low on the blind thus the lower part of the blind slaps against the back of your legs while walking. I just purchased my own blind about a month ago when Cabela's had knocked $100.00 of the price."

great layout blind,April 20, 2009
By southernpridefrom Central Fl.
"One of the best thing about it is, being waterproof. I hunt swamps, hammocks and ponds [Florida]. This works great for my 100lb Lab and me. I'm 5'7'' and 200 lbs and there is plenty of room. You can put a half a dozen or more duck decoys in it.I also used it for a Turkey hunt twice, which worked better then I thought. I will be getting another one for my son to use. This is my first layout blind, my son and me put it together in 15 minutes, then tried it out a couple of times before taking it to the field. I can set this up in pitch black with only my small light in 3 minutes. Thanks Cabelas"

Interceptor Ultimate Blind,April 6, 2009
By Honkbonkerfrom Central Oregon Coast
"First hunting trip w/ this blind was set up in six inches of water in a green grassy field. Stayed COMPLETELY dry, I could not believe how well this was sealed. Only water in the blind came from my waders. Had to use a lot of natural cover which the blind loops helped with. Only real problem was the loops have no elastic and it was hard to get grass to hold on to the blind... a little elastic would help a lot. It is plenty big as well, I am 6' 270lbs. and there is plenty of room. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to lay down in a flooded field and stay dry."

First Layout Blind,April 5, 2009
By ScruffyDawgHunterfrom Green Bay, WI
"This is the first layout blind I have ever owned. So far so good. It was a breeze to setup in my basement, and once i did that I could do it in the field no prob with a headlamp. It needed a good mudding because it was fairly bright out of the box. It is very rooming, my 75lb Wirehair fits easily in there with me, and helps to keep me warm in the cold Wisconsin mornings. I am only 5'6" so there is plenty of leg room. I would not put the dog at the foot of this thing because I dont like shooting over my dogs head. Once broken in this thing rocks! I am very happy with my purchase."

Layout blind needs paint,March 12, 2009
By ScubaKnightfrom By Scuba Knight Somerset, Ca
"The blind sets up easy in the field and are incredibly comfortable. I would take the time to set it up in the garage for the first time. That way in the dark it will be a snap in the field. I have hunted in a Finisher and this blind is way better than that one. It was more comfortable and more roomer than it too. I think the interceptor was easer to set up than the finisher in the field. The only thing that they don't tell you is, you need to paint the blind with a Flat color. All the blind makers needed to be painted. Polyester is a little shining!!! Highly recommended."

interceptor blind,February 9, 2009
By Slakerfrom Southwest US
"Worked great in the field. Kept me out of the elements and dry. Had plenty of room for gear inside. Easy to transport in the field. If it is windy, try dragging it back to the truck instead of strapping on your back. One piece of advice when you get the blind, assemble in your garage. Do not try to put together in the cold, or in the dark. Much easier to assemble after you have played with it inside."

Awesome blind!!,February 3, 2009
By gbfcfrom Maryland
"3 days before I received this blind, I watched my uncle struggle for over 6 hours putting together a competitor's blind - My Cabela's Interceptor Ultimate arrives - it takes me 20 minutes to put it together out of the box - 10 minutes to mud it and brush it - and 20 minutes later I had my limit of geese!!! Awesome blind!!! Very, very comfortable and easy to put together and break down - 6 pins - that's it!! 1 thing - a cup holder?!?!?!?! A little over the top - BUT it does fit a nice can of soda and/or a coffee mug....Oh - my uncle is now selling his and has ordered a Cabela's Interceptor Ultimate!"

Interceptor Ultimate Layout Blind,February 3, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Westfield, In
"This blind is definately as good as advertised. Very roomy, low profile and blocks the wind. Has easy to understand instructions and sets up quickly. I have had birds fly and land right over my head without seeing me. My only problem is with the camo pattern I ordered. The mossy oak shadow grass is way too green for hunting corn fields. Other than that the blind is great and would recommend to any waterfowler."

"This layout blind is difficult to assemble. The instructions and illustrations are inadequate and make assembly more difficult than necessary.
Once assembled the blind is well constructed and functional. The glossy camo surface will need to be dulled intentionally or through useage."

Great Product,January 11, 2009
By BootheelQuackWhackerfrom Southeast Missouri
"This layout blind has all that you could possibly need in a layout blind. With the tough conditions and ever changing weather we have this layout blind takes it all. From hunting flooded rice and bean fields for ducks to mudded out winter wheat fields for geese the Interceptor can take it all. I've put the seals on the waterproof layer up to the test and it has kept me dry and comfortable completely submerged almost to the 10'' water line. I would recommend this product to anyone who is a serious waterfowler and needs a versatile blind that can do it all. It has easy portability and extremely simple set up. And compared to the Avery Finisher the Interceptor is much cheaper and you don't have to waste money on buying an additional new-tub to hunt over water. Great product A+ overall."

Great Blind,January 7, 2009
By dhalilamafrom Iowa
"I love this blind. It is very comfortable for long sits and covers up well. Very happy with the purchase. The only issues I have with it are minor. It can be a little bit of a pain to set up in the field but its nothing too serious. It doesnt' fold up very compact but it still can be carried like a backpack which is much nicer than many of the single shoulder strap variations out there. So far it has been very durable and just got done spending six straight days in the field with it draging it around. The bottom liner is excellent with no need to worry about leaking. One person I was in the field with recently with a similar priced blind had a conn stalk pierce right through his bottom. It's very spacious for me and I am 6'4" 230lbs."

Good for what it is.,January 6, 2009
By NewGuyfrom San Diego
"it works, but if you enjoy laying on a metal bar at a 30 degree angle, your in, if not, you will need to find padding. I am seeing the same thing in many other types and models out there. I used a tempurpedic pillow under the "padding" to keep from damaging the spine, as the typical 1/2 inch padding does not do much for you in any model I have found.
that aside, it is better than most others out there i checked out and tried."

Cabelas Interceptor Ulimate Layout Blind,January 6, 2009
By coolhand49from Virginia
"Good product, easy to assemble, handles on doors nice feature to pull shut. Face screen is good for camo, but being able to see through. Integrated back pad and waterproof bottom excellent. 2 Negatives; 1 - the foot end of blind needs brushing straps like rest of blind as the foot end is exposed. 2 - the doors need a positive opening mechanism, like bungee cords on the Final approach blinds so when you push them open, they move out of the way quickly. Cannot comment on long term durability as I have only had the blind a month, and used it for 2 hunts. FInal comment the assembly instructions could have bit more pictures, but a small issue"
