"Totally awesome gear add-on! I bought it from the Hamburg, Pa store and a few miles from there is nothing but Pa wilderness. Never been up this part of Pa in my life so i took my new toy and headed in to the wild. I turned it on to mark my van then commenced for what turned out to be a 3 hour hike in th middle of nowhere. Didnt look at it once til i was ready to head back to the van. My God! I will never get lost with this thing. Amazing and ease of use. The topo map software is going to aid in my turkey hunt this spring WooHoo!"

"Picked one of these bundles up, and was happy I opted for this over the cheaper, less optioned Etrex H. The mapping software is excellent, it shows my grandfathers house/camp, as it is an old one room schoolhouse! I havnt had it to my grandfathers, yet, but will check how accurate that data is. Google maps is actually WAY off on their positioning of his place.
The unit gains signal fine from inside my house, should do well under trees too. Controls are very easy to use, and menus navigate easily. Having everything in one bundle is a great feature, and you save some money over buying it all seperate.
I got mine mostly for geocaching, hiking, kayaking and maybe hunting. After almost getting my girlfriend and I lost in letchworth state park last year, I decided a gps wasnt such a bad idea! If you havnt been to Letchworth, you wouldnt realize just how easy it is to drift off the main trails and get lost easy...but I got us back, would have been easier with a gps (it started to pour...)
If I had more money, I would have gotten the GPSMAP60 model, but Im on a budget and this little Etrex will be all I need."

"the etrex bundle is a joke since it only works on the PC !!! this was not mentioned in any of the information that i received also.... the small screen and multiple buttons make this device very hard to navigate and use for me.... if i had the time to mail it back..i would do so in a minute and upgrade it to a larger screened/ non bundled product.... from what i gather after the fact all bundles are oriented to PC users...not mac guys....bummer i guess i will end up re-gifting it to somebody else not up the normal standard of cabelas products...i would not suggest this garmin product to anybody!"

"I own one of these and am very pleased with it. It is durable, and good on batteries! Even says it is waterproof(i dont dare to test it haha) The program it comes with has topo-maps of the whole US and i have see the program alone for over $100 the unit's internal memory holds a little over a whole state's worth of top maps. Changing the maps in and out are a breeze. Very easy to use navigation screens. easy to manage waypoints. a great unit!"
