battery charger,October 20, 2009
By bitterbluedogfrom waubay sd
"on the old duck the charger just plugged in. you didn't have to open up the duck and put the clips on it. also the bag is top heavy and falls over all the time. the bottom stake piece needs a piece welded on to step it into the ground easier especially when ground is hard. just a little tweeking and a great product."

Super Lucky Drake,May 4, 2009
By tkolbfrom SD
"I am not very impressed with this decoy. It is very heavy and too big. The bolt on one of the legs wasnt long enough for the foot to fit on, and putting the feet and decoy on the stake is a major pain in the butt. The stake is way too short. On the one hunt i took this thing on the wing fell off after about 15 minutes (They don't float either). I had tightened the set screws as tight as i could too. i wouldnt recommend this decoy for water setups or long hauls, and i would recommend bringing a pliers and extra wing nuts for the feet with. The brown bar on the back of the wing looks very unrealistic when the wings are spinning too. On a good note, the remote works great."

Almost excellent!,February 17, 2009
By Soggyarmsfrom Southern IL
"The Lucky Duck was recommended to me by multiple hunters as being the superior choice in motorized winged decoys. The direct drive system is very smooth and quite. The wing flash is the most natural of the dozen spinning wing decoys around the 4 pits in our lease and I would have to agree with those hard core hunters who recommended Lucky. I can attest to the durability of the Lucky duck as the second day out, Lucky was bounced off the front rack and driven over with the 4-wheeler. After straightening the wing with a hammer and 2x4 and applying steady pressure to the shaft attaching the wing to the motor, Lucky operated without a hitch with only a miniscule wobble in the affected wing, some chipped paint and a broken wing tip which was easily repaired after the season. I was never able to wear the batteries down while in the field averaging 5-6 hours per hunt. The only downside I have encountered is with the remotes. I actually have 2 Luckies and they both work off the same remote, which is good in one sense that I'm not juggling remotes, except that I have a great deal of difficulty getting both units to do the same thing, mainly turn off at the same time, without having to continually press the buttons until I finally get the desired results. There are no instructions with the unit for the operation of the remotes so it is somewhat of a guessing game. I have not taken the time to contact Expedite customer service for help/instructions as the problem is managable; now that the season is over that will be on my to do list before next year. I would also like to see an intermittent mode that can be turned off or on with the remote, currently Lucky is on or off and the intermittent, natural look requires operator interface to achieve. We have found that geese do not like the flashing wings and the intermittent only versions kick on at the wrong times."

Edge Expedite Super Lucky Remote Combo Pack,January 27, 2009
By refugehunterfrom Granite Bay, California
"I found the product to be of excellent quality. In fact, after receiving the drake, I order the hen. These Super Lucky motorized duck decoys are superior to any that I have purchased in the past. The direct drive system is super quite as they make very little noise (if any at all) while in opertion. The wings are also well constructed and very durable under extreme conditions. The remote feature is also amazing as it operates from distances that one would think not. It even will transmit through heavy tules which I found remarkable. The rechargeable battery when fully charged operates all day without recharging. My only issue with this product was the carrying bag. Although it is designed well for the product, we found the outside area around the zipper section ripped. This was brought to Cabela's attention upon arrival as the carrying bag was replaced immediately without question. This is why I shop at Cabela's as they stand 100% behind their products. Way to go Cabela as I have and will be a loyal customer for life!"

Super Duck,January 24, 2009
By FSDWarp10from Kansas
"I purchashed the combo pack with remote. It works so well I can see why some states ban it! I accidentally drpped it in the marsh and submerged it which they say never to do and after drying out everything worked. Consitantly killed limits of ducks over it when other hunters in the area could not get them to decoy in. Shot a banned pintail over it yesterday as well. Get this product it is worth every penny! The only small improvement I can suggest is to make the pole a one piece instead of 3."

GOOD DUCK, DON'T HAVE REMOTE,January 5, 2009
By advantageWLfrom Coarsegold CA
"The duck is great. I run 2 that are 3 years old and on the origional battery. The remote gets complaints but where I hunt I don't need one, I just let the duck run. I can run it 4 hours on Sat, 4 on Sunday without bringing it in from the pond to charge. Very well made. Red neck pole fixin will be required if hunting deep water (Pole is short) or if the ground is hard but get over it. For a flapper, it's the best out there.
If you are looking at Brownings mess, save yourself the trouble, get this duck."

fair,January 5, 2009
By duckhuntressfrom lodi ca.
"I loved the remote and the bag for storage. The bag could be a little bigger. It seems to be a pretty tight fit. We have only had the product for less than a month and the wing nut on the wing attachment came out and the spring inside won't go back in. I am still tring to decide how to fix it. I am confused as why they would put a tiny spring in the screw hole. The chances of looseing that part are extremely high. I am very disappointed at this point."

Unlucky duck,October 20, 2008
By Originalsniperfrom California
"I had to return two of these. The wings are attached by a thumb screw that is threaded into a very shallow aluminum hole that has a Heli-coil. The first Lucky duck the heli-coil came out when I tried to tighten the thumbscrew. The second Lucky duck the "lid" did not fit well to the body thereby leaving a gap which would allow rain to enter the battery compartment."

Best on the market,October 19, 2008
By cheechkfrom Norther Vermont
"I was given one as a 30th birthday gift. I will be 37 this year and just replaced the wiring harness from the manufacturer. The shipping was more than the part. I have bought 3 more since. I have been very happy with all. The only suggestion is to lenghthen the pole as I did. My father bought several from other companies. They are all busted. Several did not work out of the box. If you have a problem with something call the manufacturer. They have been great with me."

lucky duck,October 14, 2008
By duckhunter83from Fort Smith, AR
"The carry bag is awesome it holds every thing in place. The thing i dont like about the decoy is that the feet of the duck can very easily be broken. If they were made out a hard plastic i think that the whole system would be perfect. Other than the feet I think the product is awesome. Another thing, If you go duck hunting as much as I do you will love the remote!!"

Decoy Good, Remote...not so much,September 8, 2008
By MrMuddlerfrom New Brunswick, Canada
"I bought this decoy last fall and found that it brought ducks in without question. With that being said, the remote function did not work. If you are buying this decoy, I would recommend NOT getting the remote option, or going to another brand which offers a more reliable remote as this one will bring you great frustration. Besides the troublesome remote, this decoy worked great while running on the continuous cycle and the included carry bag provided easy transportation in and out of the field. I also found no problems with the paint, or the durability of the wings. As with all the motion decoys that I have read about to date, the length of the pole system was not long enough for most situations but with some redneck engineering it is possible to make something yourself."

Excellent Customer Service,February 20, 2008
By UKPaulfrom Central California
"Upon reciept I was not impressed with the quality of the Hen. Called the CEO of Edge & he replaced it with another, this time a Drake. Works good, nice & quiet & battery lasts all day, remote is a bit lame, a right pain to assemble when it's raining at 5.am so I leave it fully assembled which can be a task if you've got far to walk. In saying all that I still think it's proabley the best out there right now & the customer service from the manufacturer is spot on."

SHORT FUSE,January 7, 2008
By BIGGSJONfrom North Carolina
"I purchased the drake and the hen , both work great after i replaced the fuse holders on both!! When i received them both of the fuse holders were broken , so i replaced those with ones of higher quality! It just seems another dollar each would go a long way with the consumer! With that said the units work perfectly, and are a proven tool for killing ducks!"

excellent product,November 13, 2007
By DLBubbafrom Detroit Lakes, Mn
"Me and my son have used the super lucky duck 5 times now over water and dry land. Hardly no calling required to bring the ducks in. We have limited out each time. Nice haveing remote control to save the battery when no birds are present. The only negative I found, be nice to have an extension for the stake when using in water where the ground is very soft"

good product but misleading,October 24, 2007
By mbacheyfrom Ohio
"Product is advertised with intermentent switch. This only come if you buy the decoy only not the combo pack. Then you are supposed to sit there and work your remote. How stupid,,,the intermentent flash is good then you need to turn it completely off with the remote when geese are working. I don't get how a remote replaces an intermentent switch."
