"we have hung 4 elk and 5 deer on this setup and it works amazing.. smallest elk dressed out at 325 pounds hide and head off.. the tripod could be a little taller.. once the elk are up you have to half them but it still only takes 20-25 minutes to completely skin.. great product.."

"Easy to set up and level for one person. 800 lb. gambrel doesn't allow the clasp on the hook to close. You'd probably want to use the 400 lb. gambrel. Have not field dressed a deer yet, as the season opens on 09/26 for bow. I did purchase a tarp to cover the tripod when not in use, since one wasn't included to keep it's exposure limited from the weather."

the hanger sets up very easy it has no trouble hoisting and the ground clearence is perfect

"Works well, easy to set up, stable.
Used it on two deer this season and I am very pleased.
Well worth the money. Only thing that would make it better is some kind of storage bag to keep it in when not in use."

"This is a great product for someone who does not have a built cleaning station but, it is not very sturdy if you have a big deer. We hoisted a 150lb 9 point up and he barely got off the gound and when I used the gut hook on the chest bone it about came over on me. It says is holds up to 500lbs but, I would be scared to try even 300lbs."

"This unit works like a charm, sure beats field dressing an animal on the ground, I hunt most times alone and in the past have had to pass up animals that were too heavy for me to get into my truck by myself....not anymore theres a little finesse involved but I can back up to an animal thats hoisted and swing it into the bed of my truck."

"I really like this product for hunting small plots of land it really works well for cleaning deer on the spot. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it needs to come with some sort of canvas storage bag like a tent. If you are like me you load your truck up with many things before a hunt and carrying 6 pieces to and from the garage versus one is not ideal."

"A great product enabling you to clean your harvest in any location. My wife appreciates me not hanging deer on the swing set. Product is as described and able to handle hoisting your game. One major oversight is the lack of any type carrying case/bag. The hoist breaks down into 6 ~ 4 ft sections and arrived in a cardboard box. Therefore making the portability significantly more difficult once the box deteriorates."

"i just used this hoist to process 3 deer...it works great and lifts the deer with no effort....everyone should own one if you dont have a good place to hang deer..real easy to assemble and take down..would be great for a deer camp....would recommend to everyone"

"Perfect for someone who does not have a good area to hang a whitetail. Set-up and take-down not complicated. This tripod is semi-portable. Recommend purchasing a extra large/heavy duty duffel bag for storage/transportation. Does not self level and may need some base support on soft/wet ground (a simple fix with some scrap lumber)."

"After my hanging tree died and had to be cut down and all other trees were to far for the hose to reach I had to come up with an alternative. The tripod was exactly what I was looking for and now makes the job easier since I can place it near the hose and under the spot ligths. Thank you Cabelas. The hunting club was asking for me to carry it out to the property so we can take care of business right there..."

"This product is simple to assemble and easy to use. Worked great on a 200 lb plus field dressed buck on the flat surfice of my garage. My only issue is that near the top where a large animals legs are, is that the tripod is a little too narrow for trying to work animal around because the legs hangup on the sides. To use inside you need over 8 ft ceilings."
