"I have used this for two years and love it. I use it for Salmon Sturgeon and halibut. With Salmon it works just as good as herring spraying it on a spoon. For sturgion and halibut I have notice increased hook up as well."

"This is a Great Product because I I purchased the herring gulp spray and I used is to fish for trout. I used it with a jointed crankbait applied the spray on my third cast I caught a 20 inch rainbow trout...Good Fight....and I continued to catch trout on this spray. I even switched my lure about 3 times with the same spray and they never stopped hitting...Ill be back to buy more and other GULP SPRAY scents....."

"I buy and use many different scents for fishing throughout the year,and have found some of them do work from time to time depending on water conditions or just the fishes mood. I am A believer in most Berkley products, as they normaly produce A high quality product. The Gulp!Alive! Spray, in my opinion, is not one of them. I have now tried these in several different scents, fishing for salmon,steelhead & sturgeon. I have tried them on enough trips that I do not believe that they work. I have fished them next to baits without scent,and fished them next to baits with other companies scents. I have found no increase in hook ups with Gulp! Alive!. The reason that I am giveing one star is I do like the spray bottle, it will come in very handy when empty to refill with other scents."

"I think it helps. I use it on the gulp after I have fished a bit with the items. Seems to work, had hits right away. I'm working with it the rest of the summer to see just how good it is."

"I prebait my Worms for Bass, and let them soak all the time in this Product! They seem to hit faster when you soak em in Gulp!!

"I tried the nightcrawler and garlic versions at a local trout lake on two days here this week. This particular lake is filled with Colorado river water that is somewhat stained and murky with about 2-3' visibility. I was using both sprays on inflated nightcrawlers on a fluorocarbon leader/sliding sinker rig and quickly found that the fish preferred the garlic in a big way. On day one, I arrived at the lake a little late and didn't get as close to the outlet (that was supposed to be a hot spot) as I'd have liked. Didn't matter. None of the other guys around me were catching anything and I caught five fish in a row in less than two hours. I went back the next day and used the same set up and bait, but only the garlic Alive. Again, no one around me was catching fish, however I got 7 in about an hour. At various times during the two days, I could see that the guys around me were fishing similar rigs with the same bait, minus the Alive. They weren't catching fish but the action was like I was the only one fishing. The actual liquid is thin like water and not greasy. The odors for each flavor are noticeable, but they aren't super strong like other scents I've tried. No matter, there must be something in there the fish like! I also like the trigger spray bottle as it is easy to use and the stink doesn't get all over everything like the various squeeze bottles I have. While my experience is not a scientific test by any means, this stuff looks promising and worked great for me. I've ordered another bottle of garlic and will try the crawfish too."

"This stuff is thin. Doesnt smell very strong, and washes off right away. You cant feel a slimy coat after one cast with this stuff applied. The spray bottle wastes a lot, too. Might be good to add to the heated plastic if you pour your own baits, but other than that, skip this stuff."
