"This is the second Daiwa Team Daiwa® Advantage® Spinning Reel I have purchased from Cabelas. If you are after a quality reel but don't want to spend the money on the more expensive ones then this is the one. This is about price point (value for money). Very smooth reel, great drag, light enough to cast all day and minimal maintenance required.

"The Advantage is a good reel for the price and it is smoother than other reel's in it's price range it cast great and it is Quit,I really only got it because I also have the Advantage 153HSTA Bait casting reel so I got it so it was like a set.I got lucky and got a great spinning reel also It is a good sound reel. The reason that I gave it a four the frist Advantage 2500a that I got was only half painted and I called Cabela's and they sent me a new one out before they even got the frist one back. Thank You Cabela ! That was Great !!!!"

"this is by far my favorite of my reels. i own 3 stradics 2 4000's and a 2500 and a Wright & Mcgill 3000. and this is my go to reel. if pulled up 15 pound snook, 10 pound jack, amongst omany other fish, but i decided to give it a good test and took it to our local inlet, i hooked into a around 30lbs redfish, i got it in but in the process of reeling him in the reel started clicking. dont get me wrong i love this reel."

"The reel has performed absolutely flawless. I fish a lot of walleye in ND, SD, and MN, and this reel paired with a g-loomis rod (GL3 6'6") has quickly become my favorite combos. The balance that the rod and reel provides makes it easy to cast rapalas and jigs. The reel has a very smooth drag that makes it easy to land big walleyes. I have used higher end Diawa and Shimano reels for many years and i would definitely recomend this Diawa reel over a Shimano reel. Another Team Diawa reel is one the way in the near future."

"i recently purchased a daiwa advantage spinnig reel and used it on a fishing trip last weekend. i was very pleased with the reel. very smooth casting and retrieve and i was very impressed with the drag system. i caught a 26.5" and a 25" walleye among other fish and the drag worked beautifully. i like the sensitivity of the drag adjustment. i think this is a very good reel for the money and would recommend the reel to others and rate it 4 stars"
