Great Prodcut - Bad Seal,

"This works great for me in both reverse and utility mode (I think some people don't realize that your vehicle and lights have to be on for it to work in utility mode). The problem I had was that the threads are very fine and it does not sit well on the seal ring when tightened resulting in moisture entering the light...I smeared a ring of 'plumbers putty' around the male threads and then tightened the lens onto the assembly...this has prevented moisture from entering the light."

"Been installed less than one week and it not longer works. Haven't given notice to Cabela's regarding the issue. Fully expect the same good customer service I have received from them in the past regarding what I think is a bad unit.
Regarding recommendation to a friend, probably not until I can determine if this unit was just one of bad ones?"

"This is very useful light equipment when towing travel trailer.
It is prohibited that a reverse light and a supplementary light illuminate simultaneously when reverse in the law of Japan.
So this is excellent gooda for me !! Thank you Cabelas!!"

"Works fine, both switches for regular light or reverse [back-up] mode. This on 2007 Tundra. Some users reported problems with one of the switches not working but so far so good for me. Very bright and helps hooking up boat in the dark."

Light Buster Utility Light - The BOMB,

"I bought this utility light to use while loading my 17' bass fishing boat in the dark. I have not used it for that purpose yet, but I have used it to get some sand in the town where I live. The location of the sand pile is practically in the dark and this baby worked like a charm. It brightened up way more space than I needed and made things a whole lot easier and safer also. I should have bought this a long time ago as the boat has been loaded kinda crooked before. Not any more with this product. I mostly use it in the auxillary position as opposed to the reverse position, but it will be handy in reverse also. Only problem I had with the unit was when I received it, the bulb housing was smashed, but the light was secure so I left it alone. Excellent product from Cabela's!!"

"Great product !! I use mine for loading and unloading the 4-wheeler. Loading before daylight, unloading after dark, is much safer and easier now with the light. I've used it several times with no problems at all....Gary, NC"

"This light buster comes in handy when you snow plow. Make sit easier to see behind you at night. Very bright. The utility setting didn't work on mine, but I bought for the reverse light. Very good light. I would buy anohter when needed."

"AS A BACKUP LIGHT IT IS EXCELLENT. ILLUMINATES AREA GREAT BEHIND FULL SIZE PICKUP.
UTILITY LIGHT FEATURE USELESS AS DID NOT WORK FROM THE GIT GO. COULDN'T MAKE IT WORK SEPARATELY FROM BACKUP LIGHT. COULDN'T REWIRE. SWITCH NO GOOD AND WOULD COST TO MUCH IN SHIPPING TO MAKE IT WORTHWHILE TO REPLACE.
IF WANT JUST A BACKUP LIGHT THEN BUY. IF WANT OTHER FEATURE FORGET IT."

"What a great product and why didn't I think of this years ago. I do a lot of late evening/night fishing and have a problem backing up the boat trailer, and once I'm there I have to fumble around with flashlights or head lamps to get the boat situated on the trailer. The Light Buster makes this all a breeze, in fact I love this product so much that I bought another one for my fishing buddy so I don't have to listen to him complain when we are using his boat."

"I have a 2006 Dakota pickup with the factory towing package which includes both a 4 pin and 7 pin outlets. This item's diameter was too large to fit the 7 pin outlet, so I was unable to use."

"I have a large 2007 p/u truck with slightly tinted rear windows.
At night when backing it was very difficult to observe anything behind you. With the aid of the light buster there is more than
enough illumination to clearly see to the rear which greatly enhances the safe operation of your vehicle."

"I bought a new truck for plowing snow and didn't want to install halogen backup lights. I found the Light Buster to do exactly what I wanted. It does a great job illuminating the rear when I back up. I've also backed into a few snow banks and the light still works and looks good as new."
