Lots of spotties in the bay,October 7, 2009
By ImperialValleyfrom San Diego, CA
"I have been using the 3 inch new penny in San Diego bay and they are great. I drop shot them on a 1/0 light wire wire circle hook and I'm just killing them. My buddy tries to use bait and it works but I pull 3 times more fish then him. They do last, I just switch them out once in a while to keep the scent fresh."

Soft bait !,March 30, 2009
By SharkChaserFLfrom Florida
"Gulps used to be alot tougher. It seems that they rip after one fish. When they first came out, you would catch 4 of 5 fish before having to replace them. :-( . They still work good . just don't last like they used too."

"Hands down the best there is. If you only had one artificial bait to take on a fishing trip this would be the one, the only donwfall is that everything will tear at this bait so bring alot of them!"

Good for flats fishing,January 27, 2009
By RTNOLEfrom Clearwater, Fl
"I've been using these for winter sea trout and they work very well. I rig them on a 1/8 ounce jig head. About the only problem I have is the pinfish LOVE these things. I usually go through at least 3 per trip so they are not cheap."

Berkley® Gulp® Alive™ Shrimp,August 11, 2008
By crankshaftfrom Keyport, NJ
"I didn't believe this product would out fish live bait, and was probably mfg. hype. After about a dozen trips off Sandy Hook NJ, it was as equal too, or had a slightly higher catch ratio, as compared to live bait for summer flounder."

Deffinite investment,April 21, 2008
By livinandfishinfrom Charleston, SC
"These Gulps are deffinitely a way to go! They fish about as good as live bait does. I have fished them on the flats of the Gulf of Mexico and Antlantic off of SC and caught fish after fish. I've caught Trout, Redfish, Bluefish, Spanish Mackeral, flounder and more. They do the job of getting fish to bite and thats worth the money. However, with the new gulp alives you have to be careful with the cannister they come in. It will leak out and you'll have gulp juice all over the place. I purchased a tupperware bowl and it doesn't leak, so no problems. Also it's nice because you can just throw all of your gulps into one bowl and the colors won't fade or trade off to one another. I have had most luck with the new penny and the pearl white. So, if your deciding whether or not you want to spend the 20 or 40 bucks for the pint or quart I would reccomend it! Tight lines everyone."

berkly gulp alive shrimp,March 10, 2008
By sargentofrom Tucson, Arizona
"This was the first time I have tried anything other than fresh squid when fishing at Rocky Point Mexico. On a whim I bought the shrimp thinking I might have a chance to use it. Well, we ran out of bait, and I suggested that we try the shrimp. Immediately the Triggerfish began devouring the bait. We ended up catching 15 more good size triggers as well as 10 more Rock Bass in the 5 pound range. What a thrill. I highly recommend it for reef fishing. Al A."

Artificial Shrimp,February 20, 2008
By Brewzzitfrom Ripon, WI
"I used this product surf fishing in Mexico by using this product on one hook and real shrimp in a second hook. I had many bites and caught fish on the real shrimp only. I only used it 4 times so that might not have been a fair test."

Simply the best bait you can buy,February 15, 2008
By sifistofrom Garwood,NJ
"I've used this product all of last season targeting fluke. It's simply amazing the ratio of fish caught on this product. Although I have an ample supply of the stuff, it never seems enough. Fish devour these gulp shrimp with reckless abandonment. If there's grass shrimp around, it would be a mistake not to be using this product. Your fish numbers will climb once you try it. Yes, you can reuse it after a days fishing, just set back in it's airtight container and you'll be set.. This is better than live bait.New penny is my favorite, although I've used most all the colors with the same success. No need to gamble on this one, it's a winner everytime. See you on the water!!!! MJ."

"Continues to be the best bait I have ever used besides live bait. I caught Redfish, flounder, speckled trout and croakers today inshore, incoming tide, Camp Lejeune, NC. New Penny was the best, followed by the Natural."
