The uppers are waterproof, seam-sealed nubuck leather with a soft, padded leather collar and fully gusseted leather tongue. Additional comfort is afforded by a full-length EVA sockliner. All metal hardware is rustproof brass. Board-lasted construction with a steel shank results in rigid support that also protects small feet from trail hazards. The durable carbon rubber outsole sports a tread design that performs well on a variety of surfaces from pavement to dirt. Imported.

"purchased these for my 12 year old. without breaking them in, he did a 20 + mile hike in the tetons. the boots were great! very comfortable with no blisters.
these are the second set for him after out growing the first. these are a great value!!!"

"These are great, real hiking boots for kids. They aren't the usual half fabric/half leather, not very supportive, half sneaker/half boot. They are REAL hiking boots--all leather, sturdy, supportive, waterproof.
We loved the looks as soon as we opened the box, and our son loves the fit and support. He is almost 9 and has always had the "other" kind of "boot." He is thrilled to have real boots--like his parents' boots--and finds them great on rugged trails and around town alike.
This year, we know he won't get tired, achy feet on our big family backpacking trip; he has already had great success with these boots on very tough, challenging trails."

"These boots are great. Not only high quality, but they actually live up to their name of being waterproof. I bought a pair for my 7 yr old daughter last year and we logged many miles in the Red River Gorge area of KY. She outgrew the set from last year so I purchased another larger pair this year. These are 100% all terrain hightops/boots and can be relied upon to stand up to rock climbing, water and thick mud. This is the kind of gear that can make a difference when situations get tough. I would definitely reccomend these boots to anyone for thier child."
