"I am very happy with the FoodSaver products. I have used several different models over the years and worked them very hard I had trouble with the heating element on a couple, but customer service quickly took care of the problem. I am currently switching models and need to adjust to the way the new one works, but that has been minor. Thanks for carrying this product. I love FoodSaver and I enjoy shopping at Cabela's"

"I have been using FoodSaver for years. My previous FoodSaver died after about 10 years of hard use and service. I was completely satisfied with that system, and when I had to replace it, I did not even consider any other system or maker. I have used my new FoodSaver GameSaver Pro numerous times since I have received it. I am completely satisfied with my new FoodSaver, as I was with it's predecesser. Everything I freeze in FoodSaver vacuum bags lasts longer and retains freshness better than any other process I have ever tried. I package vegetables, fruit, leftovers, meats, (both game and domestic), staples, such as rice, nuts, etc., and have never found a single use that did not freeze or store well in FoodSaver bags. I love FoodSaver."

"I got the Foodsaver GameSaver Pro for my wife for Christmas. The one that I got did not work. I took it and returned it Jan 1st. The new one worked great for 20 days. Then it stopped working. We called foodsaver customer support. They said it sounds like the motor had gone out. We returned it to Cabelas for a 3rd try. The new one worked for 10 days then it quick. Finally we gave up and just got our money back. I don't know if we were really unlucky or if it just is not a reliable product. When it worked we loved it. I just couldn't get it to work for more than 2 weeks."

"I bought one of these and you could seal one bag good but then you had to wait a minute or more to seal another plus it was very loud. I thought it was bad and took it back and ex changed it and the new one was the same way it took an hour and a half to seal 34 bags when processing deer. I found it seals alright but dont get in a hurry. I will try a commercial one next year"

"I have gone through 3 of these and have had a problem with EVERY one! I have lost Fish and Game to this unit. It's very frustrating to lose a slab of wild Alaskan sockeye because the seal has gone bad and to have to smoke it because of that. I will not buy another one. Cabela's has been awesome in their customer service but for the money I have paid for the fish and the game to bring home for my family I will not risk it again. I will pay a little more and go for the commerical model that Cabela's offers. No more disposable food savers! No more frustration!"

"I have had my FoodSaver Gamesaver for almost 5 years. I have sealed and frozen over 500lbs of beef, 500lbs of chicken and 300lbs of pork with it. Not to mention countless bags of chips, salad mix and anything else that needed sealing. The sealing strip stopped working today hopefully I can get a replacement."

"I recently purchased the GameSaver Pro prior to a salmon fishing trip and was delighted with all the features added since I bought the original basic Foodsaver years ago. We vacuum packed a lot of silver salmon with it and thought the following features were spot on: --built-in bag cutter --deep gutter for the sealing end --easily-removable sealing gutter for cleaning --strong vacuum pump --convenient storage area for roll inside unit Operating the unit took some getting used to but was quickly mastered and I have already used it for additional things such as sealing smoked foods. A great product!"

"The rubber sealer in the top of the lid fits to tight. Does not allow the machine to suck out the air. Remove the sealer strip, suck out the air, seal, then put the sealer strip back in and seal again. This is the only way mine will work. Sending it back to Cabelas. The old Gamesaver was better, I just wore it out!"

"I had one of these. I also got several of the attachments. The thing did not make it through the first batch of bags that came with the unit. It is easy enough to use and when it worked I liked it; however the sealing strip quit. I tried everything short of dropping it off of the roof, but I could not get it to work. I called the manufacturer. They would not repair it but wanted to sell me another for a "modest" fee. I should have read the reviews before I purchased it. It may have saved me the trouble. Thank God for Cabela's Customer Service!! They were very understanding and helped me out. They have a customer for life."

"I bought a Gamesaver Pro about 2 years ago and am very satisfied with it. Seals very well and saves time. I have been processing all my own wild game for years and now that I have this it takes about half the time it used to. No more wrapping in freezer paper and putting meat in freezer bags. This has been a lifesaver for me. The only problem I have ever had with this product is the cutter sometimes doesn't cut the plastic after the bag is sealed but I figured out how to get it to work correctly. I would recommend one to all my friends and even bought another for my mother."

"I bought this for my husband a few years ago and have used it successfully ever since. He has taken it fishing with him a few times, but we use it at home for sealing the fish as well as much of our store bought meat. I love it! The only issue I have encountered is that the blade for cutting the bag once it has sealed is only working in one direction now, but I don't consider that a problem because we've used it so much - I would expect that to happen. We are planning to purchase one of these for my father-in-law for Christmas!"
