"We bought this product to help us keep pasta sauce, pizza sauce, sour cream and other less-often used products from getting moldy before we used them up. I had thought that this would work with those jars, but you have to pour the product into standard canning jars and buy the little flat lids and the screw-on ring for the top. It seems to work very well although we haven't yet left the products for longer periods of time to see if they are still fresh."
