Best Cooler I've Owned,October 16, 2009
By JobeRockfrom Gretna, NE
"This cooler is unreal. I am still amazed each time I get it out for use. The stainless steel hardware seems very sturdy and has held up very well so far. I use this for camping and it's large enough to hold 3 days of food and beverages for 6-10 people. If the beverages are cold when you fill the cooler, the ice lasts forever. As with any cooler, cooling beverages with ice tends to consume much more ice (for obvious reasons). That is compounded when you do it with this cooler because it holds so much!
The cooler is very well built. The lid can hold tremendous amounts of weight without deflecting. It has great stainless steel lid springs that hold the lid open; very handy feature and save the hinges!
My only complaints with this cooler are the rubber feet making it hard to manuveur in the back of my truck. But this is probably a good thing since you probably wouldn't want 175 lbs of cooler going through your truck bed in a quick stop! The other complaint is the fact that it's so huge! I tend to overload it making it difficult to load by yourself. I can fill it 3/4 full with beverages and food and still lift it into the back of my half ton truck bed, but it's tough. I'm 29 years old now and probably won't be doing that too many more years!
Great cooler if you need the space and insulating power!!"

Very Durable Huge Cooler!,August 3, 2009
By RHananfrom Oakland, CA
"Very large, extremely durable, nonskid bottom corners, metal hinges and big handles. I use this cooler for entertaining/parties. I was using 3 coolers for soda, beer and wine. Now I just use one and I love it!! Holds more ice and stays very cold plus the combination of the 3 coolers in 1 keeps everything colder for a lot longer. LOVE everything except the dumb spring that holds the lid open. You have to bend it with your finger before you close the lid or else the bracket will bend over and/or possibly break off. Otherwise a very good cooler. Wish they offered a cart with wheels that this could set on to move around while full. I am using two furniture dolly's."

OptiMaxx 200qt cooler,July 1, 2009
By Jamie76from Belmond, Iowa
"Awesome cooler, I was going on a fishing trip to Canada with 7 other people and I was in charge of purchasing the groceries for the week. I ended up having some extra vacation so I purchased this cooler to take all the food for the group up with me a week earlier. After a full week of fishing before the rest of the group arrived the food inside the cooler was still frozen and not very much of the ice I had packed inside of the cooler was melted. After we moved into the bigger cabin I unloaded the cooler and there wasn't any room left in the refridgerator for our beverages so we just put all the beer in the cooler for the week. After only adding 2 bags of ice the cooler also kept all our beer cold for the next week also. Preparing to go home after 2 weeks the cooler still had some of the original ice that I put in there the first week still floating around!!!"

Big Box Big Bucks,January 8, 2008
By WManierfrom southern Illinois
"Excellent ice chest. Big, well built. I'm still trying to justify in my mind paying $300.00+ for an ice chest. So I reconsidered and I paid $300+ for an fish box, extra boat seating, and ice chest. Seriously, I'm a big guy and I fish a lot. This is the first cooler that I think will hold up. I like the fact that you can open the lid with your hands full of a 20lb. Salmon. All metal hardware means not having to replace plastic hinges annually. The tray comes in handy for cooling drinks without getting them down among your days catch. Good fishing."
