Alaskan Guide low sneaker,
March 17, 2009
By warmfoot
from northern virginia
|
"I am a Bass fisherman who fishes in all weather, all year around. This year was particulary cold, launched many times with the air temps below 20, and ice on the water. I got tired of cold feet and bought these guide shoes. The fur lining is just what I needed. A side benefit is that they are very water proof, so when you get your boat out of the water and have to hook it to the trailer, you don't have to worry about wet feet. Very warm, well made shoes. Highly recommend them to anyone who has cold feet :-)"

Cabela's Alaskan Guide Low Sneaker,
February 25, 2009
By xxtrailer
from LI,NY
|
"Sneaker is warm and comfortable. Only complaint is recommended size was too small. Toes hurt when walking. Since shearling tends to stretch it was recommended to order 1/2 size smaller than normal. Since sneaker only comes in full sizes option was either larger or smaller [I wear size 9.5] should have gone with the 10. If item had been available in 9.5 I would have given it 5 stars!"

"these are absolutely the best - please bring them back in women's sizes - I bought 2 pair a few years back - and every year since I have tried to order more but they only come in men's sizes now - I actually ordered the very smallest men's size 8 (which is still somewhat big for a women's size 7) this year just so I have a pair -"

"Great product! I live in the Lake Erie area and this has been a brutal year, 136 inches of snow so far. These Alaskan Guide Sneakers are the best footwear I have ever owned for winter wear. Comfortable for long walks or driving. You can't go wrong."

"After reading all of the reviews I wasn't sure if I should order my regular shoe size or a size larger. I knew I definitely wanted this shoe based on the overall review ratings. I ordered my regular shoe size and it fits great as recommended (barefoot or a thin weave sock). Thank-you Cabela's for keeping this shoe."

Alaskan Sneakers are Fab!,
February 11, 2009
By ChicagoSnowGuy
from Chicago
|
"These were my first pair of winter boots from Cabela's and I can't wait to get another pair. I originally bought the high sneaker and loved them so much I bought a low pair as well. These are beautiful and well-lined with shearling so they're warm even down to 10 below. The water tight construction keeps my feet dry and they can be worn with thin silk socks or, optimally, with no socks. They're sized a bit large in the high sneaker so you might need to go a size lower. They have great traction and the luggy soles are well designed to keep your feet steady in the ice and snow of Chicago. Compare these to the higher end Uggs brand - they're a lot less expensive and work just as well."

Warmest my feet have ever been,
February 10, 2009
By Anonymous
from Pennsylvania
|
"These sneakers are great!! I am a middle aged woman who lives in the northeast and I can't remember my feet being this warm. I would recommend these sneakers, to girls and guys, if you have problems keeping your tootsies toasty. Only a couple of things that I needed to adjust to; One, they are a man's shoe and they are bulky so I needed to "learn to walk" and secondly they are a little tight to "slip on" your foot. WELL WORTH the purchase though."

Not the same,

By Kosmo

"I previously owned 2 pairs of the Guide sneaker ( 1st pair was called EMU Australian Surfing shoes) and loved them. Only problem with them was leather was paper thin and both pair ripped. The comfort was unmatched
Bought a new pair in December size 9 way too small sent back for 10's which are too big"
