Pretty OK,November 1, 2009
By wliamvfrom Oklahoma
"I have been looking at these boots for years but could'nt decide whether or not to buy a pair. I finally did because I am afraid that they are going to discontinue them. I wear a mens size 11 but after reading several reviews that stated these boots are up to a full size smaller, I purchased a size 12.
The 12's fit perfectly and provided a little extra room to add a felt insole. I added a felt insole because there's not much arch support and the felt insole will give the the footbed more cush, conform to my foot making the boot even more comfortable to weaqr and provide more warmth.
Overall, they seem to be very well made and I like the boot. I am looking forward to wearing them when the weather turns cold. Because they were on sale when I purchased my pair, I also bought my 83 year old father a pair. He dose'nt get out in the boonies like he use to, but he'll enjoy the warmth just wearing them around the yard and to town in the winter months."

By rhg2305from Delta Junction, AK
"Kept my feet warn and dry in snowy 17 degree weaher. I have a little trouble getting them on but guess I will learn the trick to stepping into them in full snow gear. Easy to take off. Like they say you only need thin socks with them. I am going to order a low pair."

Best Winter-Time Boots ever,August 10, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Helena, Montana
"I live in Montana and, in the winter-time, these boots are the first things I reach for when I get up in the morning. They are soft and warm and, if you need to go for a walk in the snow to get your morning newspaper, these boots also have very good traction in the snow and the ice. i recommend them very highly."

Glad they brought them back!!!!,July 24, 2009
By KarenHMBfrom Half Moon Bay, CA
"I purchased these boots for my husband over seven years ago. He's not a fluffy boot/Ugg kinda-guy and I thought this was a macho-styled boot he might actually wear. Wear them he did…and when they finally began to show wear, I went to purchase another pair only to find Cabelas had discontinued them. He was so bummed. I looked all over the internet to find something similar. I ordered a pair of Born men’s boots, yet he continued to wear the rather worn Alaskan Guide High Sneakers. We finally gave the Born boots away. He was so happy to discover Cabelas brought this boot back. I ordered two pairs, just in case they pull the same now we have it-now we don’t stunt. Great boot. Just order up on the sizing; he always wears a size 11-1/2 and the 12 fits him perfectly. He wears them without socks."

Somesneakers!,March 31, 2009
By Hotspur47from Northern New York
"Item received as propmtply as usual. I've been searching for a pull-on boot in adult sizes for months, and I found them. They are perfect for quick donning and removal, and the lining forms to the foot nicely. I like the warmth, fit and traction. When the Adirondacks dump snow on me, these are my boots!"

"Warm, easy to get on & off, Just follow the instructions on ordering size. You can't puchase anything better at any price. It is a typical Cabellas product, dependable and well built. What else can I say except - "buy it" you won't be sorry."

Comfortable, casual boots,February 24, 2009
By bjlewisfrom Stony Plain, AB
"My husband enjoys these for casual wearing to the office on snowy days, as we live in AB where it is snowing right now. It is not a working boot, but a casual boot. It looks good, and it keeps my husbands cold feet very warm. He loves them and recommends them to those who want comfort and casual together."

they're great,February 23, 2009
By 64degreesnorthfrom Nunavut, Canada
"I wear a women's 7.5 (around a men's 6) and these looked like they'd be great so I decided to take a chance on sizing - with a sheepskin insole, they fit okay (loose but wearable) even though they are a men's 8. The sheepskin is super cosy on bare feet. They are nice and light. The strap is totally useless - it can be unbuckled, but there is no way to tighten it properly. The waterproofing on the suede upper seems to work, they shed melted snow after the boots come indoors.
2 hours building an igloo on Baffin Island (Arctic, above treeline) at -30 degrees and my feet were still comfortable. I have expedition boots for extended periods outdoors and far from town, and thinsulate-lined hiking boots for around town - these are definitely replacing the hikers, and do well for at least a couple of hours in a row outside in February. The soles are thick enough there is no noticeable cold transmission, and at -30 and not moving, with bare feet, you can feel it's cold outside the boots, but not uncomfortably so. If you're doing any activity they are warm enough. Indoors (e.g. working in a workshop) they are also comfortable (not too hot). Definitely recommended."

By gams7from Mentor, OH
"Got these for my husband who wears a smaller size shoe and they fit great and he says they are the most comfortable and warm boot he's ever had. We looked everywhere in regular stores (dept. and shoe) and found nothing as nice as these - not even close. AND the price was exceptionally right!!"

Worth Every Penny,February 10, 2009
By TwinScoutMomfrom Columbus, OH
"We purchased these boots for our twin 12 year olds for a winter Boy Scout camping trip and 10 mile hike. The boots were perfect for the trip and kept them warm, dry and comfortable, even in temps down to 10 - 15 degrees. The shearling definitely does its job!"

GOOD WINTER BOOT,February 10, 2009
By TRUKSTUFFfrom BOLTON, MI
"I PURCHASED THESE FOR A QUICK SLIP-ON BOOT TO GO OUT AND FILL THE WOOD STOVE. SO FAR THEY HAVE EXCEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT THEY RUN SMALL. I NORMALLY WEAR A SIZE 11, BUT HAD TO RETURN THEM FOR A 12. THIS SHOULD BE NOTED WHEN ORDERING AS IT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME THE EXTRA SHIPPING. SUPER WARM AND LIGHT WEIGHT."

Very comfortable and warm,February 10, 2009
By Max123from Underhill, VT
"I've met Jeff King personally so if he uses these during the Iditarod, that is a pretty good endorsement for me! The fit is tight, so be sure to follow the recommendations to wear these without socks. They are warm enough on their own."

By VERMONTHUNTERfrom Vermont
"I wanted something easy and simple to go to work, walk the dogs etc. Warm comfortable and light! These are perfect! My only complaint is that I have wide feet and they don't come in widths. I bought a half size up and they fit just fine."

Easy Slip-on Warmth,February 9, 2009
By AlekZfrom Upstate,NY
"Like all Cabela's brand products, these boots are made very well. Easy on/off while wearing thin (cotton sneaker) socks. Barefoot is even easier. Plenty warm, even when in the teens. Nice, moderately agressive tread for good traction. I don't expect them to wear out soon either."

"Long snowy driveway to mailbox, perfect footwear for the job. Bringing in a armfull of wood...perfect. I slip these on like slippers and then use them in the snow. Excellent traction even on ice and warm too."
