Not water proof,
November 2, 2009
By jay1969
|
"Wore these boots 3 times. Very comfortable, but the 3rd time was a rather damp day with light drizzle. My feet were soaking wet 3 hours into the hunting trip. Not impressed with the water proofing system. So if your looking for a good waterproof boot i would not consider these."

Leaky boots,
September 9, 2009
By Labhandler
from Alabama
|
"I purchased a pair of these boots for spring turkey hunting. the light weight is great for long morning walks into the woods, but they leak terribly. Even a heavy dew leaves your feet soaked. Dry conditions they are great, but do not count on them for crossing even the most shallow stream or puddle."

"A great pair of boots. Have owned both the insulated and uninsulated boots. Have put hundreds of miles on both. Had small squeak in the insulated pair but the light weight and comfort made up the difference. They are not cactus proof though. Watch where you're walking and no problem."

Cabela's Uninsulated Full-Draw Hunting Boot,
June 15, 2009
By Stueds
from New Mexico
|
"These are excellent boots and I would recommend them, they are light and have good solid support. Some of the complains that others listed were not very water proof and I have not tested that yet. Also the hard bottom tread, which it is, but I think I like it, good solid feel walking up rocks in the southwest. I did get the EE version and even though I have a D foot it looks like the EE will allow for heavy socks if I want them and otherwise I can lace up tight enough for comfort with regular sock. A very comfortable boot at a good price."

Full draw hunting boots,
January 6, 2009
By alamogordo

"Boots are stiff and took a little while to break in. After that though they were comfortable and very light weight. My only complaint would be the soles are fairly hard making quiet stalking a little difficult, although the traction for up and down steep ridges was good."

Dry Plus is a joke,
November 16, 2008
By Derekfrompierre
|
"As far as comfort these boots are hard to beat. There was no break in period they were comfotable straight out of the box. But as far as them being waterproof, not so much. I had these boots on while antelope hunting this fall. It was raining all day and was very chily. One foot was soaked withen 20 yards from the truck. The other foot stayed dry for about an hour or so. Dry Plus is a joke. Goretex is the only way to go."

Full draw boots,
September 26, 2008
By trilabretrievers

"Best early season boots I've ever owned. light weight and waterproof. great scent containment. I've walked to the tree stand then later watched as deer follow the same trial I walked. great traction in hill country, plus very silent walking in wooded areas. can really feel the ground which elliminated the dead give away of the nasty sound of breaking twigs under foot. highly recommended."

"I bought this pair of boots because they were light weight. The first hunt that I wore them on was a backpack elk hunt high in the mountains of Colorado. They leaked water from the dew on the grass and ruined my expensive hunt."

Good bottom, bad top,
July 30, 2008
By MCSHorseman
from Northern California
|
"The sole and footbed area are brilliantly designed -- very lightweight, very comfortable, protects the sole from rocks but still provides feel of what is underfoot. Waterproofing is an excellent design element. The problem is the top. When the laces from the ankles up are tightened, the lace hooks chafe on the ankle. It is possible to tie the bottom tight and the top loose, but that creates a gap around the top where things can get in. As far as I'm concerned, the comfort, lightness and waterproofing entirely outweight the chafing problem, but I wish it were not as it is."
