"I could not be happier!! Extremely comfortable, durable, and provided better support than any other boot I've worn. I live in Southern Arizona and some of the country we hunt in is extremely steep and very rugged. These boots performed better than I could have ever expected. "Boots. I recently purchased my first pair of Meindel Boots. The Denali Hunting Boot with fit IQ. These are beyond a doubt the best fitting boots I have worn in my 55 years of hunting. So far I have spent 2 weeks hunting elk, in the British Columbia Rocky Mountains, with them and have no complaints. They are water proof, supportive and need no break in period. This won't be the last pair of Meindel Footwear that I purchase."

Quality boot lacks narrow sizing,September 21, 2009

"The Denali boot to me is ideal for hunting the steep and rugged terrain of Idaho. Rugged construction, fully randed, and supportive. That said, for my narrow low volume feet, the fit is not ideal. I have been using 2 insoles and 2 pairs of socks (1 liner and 1 x-heavy wool) to take up the space in the boot. My heel still slips a little even with the above additions, and in the steep uneven terrain I hunt, this has caused blisters on both heels.
Cabela's, it's about time you have Meindl make a quality boot or two in narrow widths, suitable for rough terrain.
All in all, I think with more normal feet, these boots would be fantastic."

"Best boots out of the box I have ever worn, a little squeaky at first though. I have heard a lot of good things from quite a few people about these boots performance, that's why I bought them. "Excellent boot with an incredible lacing sytem. You can tighten or loosen diferent parts of the laces to fit your foot and they dont loosen after you have hiked. This boot does however take quite a while to break in so dont wait until the last minute to buy."

"These are the best boots I've ever owned. This is my second pair and I also have 2 other models of Meindl boots for hunting. I have had several foot and ankle problems and the Meindls are the only boot that stands up for hunting, farming and working on cement. They may cost more initially but I have found I get twice as much wear ouit of them and I put several miles on my feet over a course of a year."

"These are a very well built boot, extremely comfortable, and very sturdy. I purchased these based on the fact that they are uninsulated for use during a warm weather Elk hunt. However, the memory foam that is used for comfort purposes makes this boot very hot. I returned these for the Meindel "Perfekt Hiker" and have been very happy thus far. If you are going to use these for a cooler hunt they would be great."

"WOW I am a surveyor and wanted something that would take a beating and keep on going. It took a while to break in (about 3 days) but once I broke them in and got a insert to fit my foot they were perfect. A little on the heavy side but the way they are built I understand the added weight. No leaks, no rips and no wear. I love the IQ foam and the rubber bummper around the base which protects the boot when I am running through the mountains. I am sure they will be on my feet come elk season. Great boot worth every penny."

"Bought the boot over the summer for break-time and they are very comfortable. Wore them both hunting out west (NM), and back here in New England. The fit, comfort and support are second to none. The only minor issue I had is that in one spot the rubber band around the bottom separated just a little where it comes together (near the instep). A little fletching cement and 5 minutes did the trick. I am taking them to bowhunt elk in Utah with no reservations at all. Bottom line.... if you plan to hunt in the hills and want a top-notch boot, you have found it."

"I purchased these boots for work. I spend all day hiking streams, walking in water, mud, rocks, (and now snow) everyday usually 6 days a week. They get wet and mud covered everyday. In 5 weeks they have never leaked. My feet are always warm and dry. Every weekend I clean off the muck, let them dry and then coat them with a good sealant wax. They fit perfect right out of the box - no break in required. Excellent ankle support, really good grip. Depending on the temperature, I use a medium to thick wool sock, sometimes with a liner. The big test will be how long they keep my feet dry. I'm hoping for at least 2 yrs - that would be amazing considering the constant soaking they get and will make them well worth the price. I would imagine that under normal use as a hunting boot, they would last for many years."

"I have worn Denalis for the past 20 years and have always been pleased. This most recent boot has been changed...the top is higher and the sole is different, as is the internal fit. I was initially concerned, but having hiked with it 30 miles or so now, I am very happy with the new boot. I just wish I could replace the sole without ruining the waterproofing."

"So I got to test these boots out this past weekend here in Mendocino California, hunting deer. I couldn't be happier with these boots. I wore these boots for four to five hour hikes on steep terrain with no problems or pain in my feet and ankles. They offered great traction going down steep cliffs with loose gravel and dirt. These were the stiffest boots I ever bought but by far the best for hunting in terms of comfort and performance. I can't wait to use them again in couple of weeks"

"I have 3 hunting partners that use these boots and have nothing but good to say. I thought I'd give them a try since I've been wearing the same boots for the past 8-10 years (resoled twice). I havent got the opportunity to use these yet in the field but I thought I'd drop a note about the size. It seems to me that they fit about 1/2 size big. I ordered my regular size from the catalog and found them to be just a bit loose, even with thicker socks. I took them back to the store and tried on a half size smaller and they fit perfect."

"I have some real foot problems and need a perfect fit. I have spent a lot of money over the past decade on various boots and now i feel i have the boot I can hunt without killing my feet. I took them on a 3 mile hike when i 1st got them and had no problems, I then wore them on a 2 day 3D shoot, the course was about 5 miles all total in the montana mountains and absolutly no problem."
