"First, I got a perfect fit. Follow the sizing advice and stick to your actual size. The plush fleece gives a little. From experience with other shoes, the leather will stretch for a "custom" fit after some wearing. The description says the booties (I call them "slippers") work best with bare feet or a thin pair of socks. I believe it. The fit is snug and the fleece plush, so there is plenty of contact to keep feet warm but not sweaty. The over-the-ankle design has made a big difference for me against drafts in the past. The slippers have a good grippy outsole that looks like it will shed snow, wear well and resist slipping. The leather looks sturdy with counters around the heel and toe for wear resistance. There is a patch at the top of the front seam to keep it from separating. They should take your favorite waterproofing well. Only complaint is that the heel space inside the slipper is low for me."

Warm Rubber bottom sheep wool slipper,April 2, 2009

"I LOVE my Cabin Slipper Booties. I hate to have slippers that are tight on my feet. I wear 9 1/2 wide womens shoe. I ordered MENS size 9 wide. (This is about size and 1/2 bigger than my shoe size ) The slippers are still a little hard to pull on but fit perfectly when I finally pull them on. They do not slip around when I get them on and they have a good rubber sole so that I can step outside to get mail if I needed to. They really are nicest without socks but I sometimes like to wear socks with them and they also work fine that way. I live in midwest in an old historic home and they keep my toes perfectly warm. My feet tend to overheat and it is true that real sheep wool distributes the moisture of your feet and they do not get sweaty in these slippers. My only wish would be that they had some good arch support so I could wear them on my hardwood floors for longer periods of time. I would recommend them to everyone."

"I read the reviews and ordered even larger size than I would normally and they were still too small. In addition, if you looked at the soles, both right and left were the same. I figured this was meant for a unifoot person, not a human person. The booties, even the correct size, would have been totally uncomfortable. Sorry. The concept was good but not so the execution."

"I normally wear size 8D. I therefore ordered size 9 Wide, I could barely squeeze my right foot into the slipper, and was totally unable to put my left foot into the slipper. I am taking them to a shoe store to see if they can be stretched or modified."

"The wide widths are not wide enough Because of foot issues, I need a EEEE width, but that size is very hard to find in slippers such as these and with shoes. It would be very good if Cabela's could carry more of the extra wides sizes in the footware product lines , like we see in the New Balance products."

"These slippers are well-made. I can't fault the quality at all.
After reading some of the reviews, I ordered a pair of 14s for my size 13 feet. I tried them on, and almost decided to send them back. The 14s are long enough (barely!) but narrow. I can't wear them with socks at all. If you can wear Nikes, these slippers might be for you. If you have a wide foot, forget it."

"When Purchasing these slippers I expeted hard soles. These slippers have a rubber sole that I feel is cheap. The sizing dosen't seem to be right either. They seem to be on the small side. Very tight for the size I ordered. I am considering sending them back."

"I bought these online as a Christmas present for my father. They were carefully wrapped in festive holiday paper with Christmas trees and snowmen and then placed (along with many other gifts) in a cargo box on top of my suv in anticipation of an 8 hour drive home to visit my parents. During the first 5 mins of the drive, I was informed by a passing motorist (on the interstate) that my cargo box was open. After pulling onto the right shoulder, I noticed in horror that ALL of my carefully wrapped gifts (including the Cabin Slipper Booties) were now gone. I thought all was lost. My wife convinced me to get off at the next exit, turn around and re-trace our route. While returning to our starting point, I spotted first one...then the second of the Slippers on the median between the north and southbound lanes. There was no sign of the Cabela's box they were shipped in or the wrapping paper. Obviously, a few semi trucks had pummeled both the box and paper until there was nothing left. I didn't expect much when I pulled over to take a look at what was supposed to be a present to my father. I was extremely surprised and amazed when I picked up the Slippers and noticed that they were barely scratched. Sure, there were a couple of rub marks....but, other than that, they still looked brand new. I presented them to my father when I arrived and we all had a good laugh at the story behind his gift. He loved them and we all have a funny story to tell about the Cabin Slipper Booties."
