"It hasn't been cold enough to wear them yet. However, these will be my ski and winter play gloves. I have average size hands and the fingers feel maybe 1/8 inch short for 'large.' However, they seem flexible enough and they will provide plenty of protection above the wrist. I have no doubt they will be warm enough. My other Cabela's gore tex products have held up very well so I expect the same."

"Instead of spending more than twice as much on top of the line ski gloves by high tech brand names, I tried these Cabela's label gloves that had all the same features at my kind of price. I'm a ski patroller and needed bomb proof, warm gloves that stand up to a lot of work with metal and sharp edges in cold climate. The leather covering on the palm and fingertips make this more durable than regular ski gloves. The fit is true to size. If your hands are outside working in wet snow, re-inserting your fingers is somewhat challenging, because the inside lining is a little grabby. But not a major deal. I highly recommend these."

"I was extremely disappointed in the lack of warmth these gloves provided. I had read several reviews that praised them. I was outside for less than 15 minutes shoveling with the temperature about 10 above. At first my fingers got cold and eventually were cold enough to be burning. The positive side was when I called to return them the person that answered was very helpful and understanding. I guess the biggest disappointment was this was my first purchase from Cabela's and I had always heard good about their products."

"These gloves first of all look like the colors of my number one Super Bowl champs the Pittsburgh Steelers, but besides that they are the warmest gloves I have ever owned. I am a police officer and my hands must stay warm in case I need them to operate my handgun. So I do not ever like my hands to get that cold. These gloves are great and well worth the money, and if they can look good all at the same time, BONUS."

"I have purchased other gloves before and these are by far a better glove. They are very comfortable and easy to get on and off. They also have a good fit by the forearm above the wrist. I used them when I was ice fishing and they kept my hands warm and dry. Also, I had a very good grip when using my ice auger. I would recommend them to anyone that was serious about winter outdoor activities."

"Cabela's Pinacle Mittens are not what I was hoping. The thumbs of both gloves are extremely tight, and inside the mitten outer shell, is a glove liner with separate fingers. This is not really what I was expecting in a mitten. For some reason, the true size of the glove was anything but 2XL, and the inside glove was tight also. My two year old pair of Pinnacle gloves was not well reproduced in this product.
I would not reccomend them."

"This is my 2nd pair of these gloves--the others are just plain worn out after many years of use outside icefishing, snowblowing, shoveling,etc. in Minnesota. I hope the new ones last as long--the quality appears the same and the leather palms appear to be good. The leather palms durability is critical because in the coldest weather you can maintain "grip" when icefishing,etc. The price is high but well worth it for the long run."

"I use these gloves for snowmobiling. I have had 2 pair. I usually go through at least 2 pair of gloves per year. Last year these gloves lasted the entire season. I had to replace them this year because I left them too close to the heater and melted the outer layer on 3 fingers. I would still be using the original pair had I not burned them."
