Only if you hunt <10 days/year,November 4, 2009
By tmilosh1from Crown Point, IN
"Dear fellow Cabelas customer,
I too enjoy most of Cabelas products and the decent prices they offer. However, on my second pair of $160 plus insulated upland boots I'm searching for something adequate. My first pair lasted 1 season before the "sharkskin" toe completely wore away leaving the cloth core. This allowed morning dew and any other water to gush in. The second pair faired even less well lasting only from Dec. 08 to Nov. 09 after being worn maybe 15 times. This time the stitching on one boot frayed away leaving an open seam and again a meer puddle drenched the socks. I'm off to find rubber boots I guess since Cabelas "Best" upland boots can't handle half a year of reasonable upland hunting. I don't wear boots to work everyday like some men, but I'll bet those who do would expect 365 days out of a pair of boots before they fail, not 15 - 20."
Bad hunting boot,October 31, 2009
By fuzzbuckfrom West Virginia
"I ordered this boot before going on a hunting trip. I wore them about three times before my hunting trip. They were not waterproof. These boots are not made for steep ground. I wouldn't recommend this boot to any hunter.
Cabelas did replace the boot with another. It is the cabelas outfitter series 12 inch boot. This boot has done a great job. The outfitter series is waterproof, comfortable, and the airbob outsoles give outstanding traction."
Grouse hunting up north (real north),October 12, 2009

"I went northern Quebec for grouse hunting, a full week of walk, 10 km per day and those boots are just excellent. confortable, light, the only thing is the sole on wet terrain. But this is a very good product, will buy again"

Excellent boots !!!,November 29, 2008

"I wore these boot on a Caribou hunt in northern Quebec--extremely wet and cold weather-almost constantly in mud and water 6 to 8 inches deep. These boot worked better than the rubber boots most of the other hunters wore. My feet stayed dry and warm. Everyone was very impressed with these boots!!!"
horrible upland boots oct 08,October 17, 2008
By dnbnyfrom syracuse ny
"boots only lasted one season. were not waterproof. not that cofortable. I walk on average of 5-6 miles per hunt over rough terrain and through swamps going after pheasant, turkey, grouse and wood duck in upstate ny three times per week during the hunting season. the inner lining came unstiched the stitching began fraying on the outside. i've switched to danner pronghorns and will write a review there after the hunting season."
Ultra Hunting Boot is RIGHT!,October 13, 2008

"These boots are better than I could have imagined! I used them to stalk whitetails with my bow when it was 55 degrees and dry. These boots supported my ankles and were agile enough to let me feel twigs under the grass with out snapping them. I have used thes boots while hunting pheasants in the cold rain ALL day. My feet never got cold or wet. I use these boots when I walk my dog, they are that comfortable. The price is well worth the satifaction of knowing you have quality boots which will not let you down!"
Upland Premier Hunting boots,February 7, 2008
By grousehunter61from Idaho
"Very comfortable boot, stable on rough ground, good traction on dry ground. The only draw back is that they are not a good boot in snow, the soles need more traction. If they were to come with a air bob or claws sole they would get a 5 star rating from me."
Upland 400 grm. Ultra Hunting Boots,February 7, 2008

"My wife got me these boots for Christmas this year. They are very comfortable and just warm enough for the bird hunting season. Because I am on the move they fit the bill for both comfort and warmth. Great fit by the way. I hunt in very marshy areas and these boots did not show any signs of moisture on the inside. I am looking forward to hunting in them next season. Great job again Cabelas!! Keep up the great product lines."
