Technology) jacket. Made from Cabela's-exclusive fabrics, the P.I.T. series is ideal for wearing over waders, under
waders or even alone. The upper part of the garment features a waterproof and breathable Dry-Plus® fabric. The
lower part is a bonded two-layer WindShear™ fabric that's warm, lightweight and totally windproof. The unique
combination of these two performance fabrics creates the perfect waterfowling jacket. The Jacket sports 100-gram
Thinsulate™ Insulation for extra warmth when the temperature drops at the end of the season. The full cut also
allows for layering during those cold-weather hunts. The zip-off hood adds extra protection for bitterly cold days.
Chest handwarmer pockets are positioned above your waders for easy access. Drawstring waist keeps the jacket snug

"I USED THIS JACKET RECENTLY HERE AT GRAY LODGE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. IT WAS A VERY WINDY AND COLD DAY, ONE OF MY HUNTING FRIENDS GOT COLD AND HAD TO COME BACK IN TO GET HIS GLOVES, EXTRA FLEECE LINER AND HEAD GEAR. I KEEP WARM AND COMFORTABLE THE WHOLE TIME."

"By far the best jacket i have ever owned for both duck and phesant hunting, very good wind breaker and keeps me warm in -10 temps, great to wear under waders and under vests, i just wish cabelas would offer it in different camo patterns so i could have one for bowhunting, great work Cabelas!"

"I'm very picky about my gear. I don't feel like anything is 100% perfect, but this jacket offers alot. It has good warmth with less bulk. It can be worn over or under wader with equal comfort. I really like the high pockets that you can use when the jacket is under waders. The sleeves are cut perfectly, not baggy and catching on everything, but not tight and restrictive. Every one in my hunting party now owns one and loves it. I start the season wearing this jacket with just a t-shirt and layered up with a down vest under the jacket for late season. I was concerned that I would get wet in the rain, however to my surprise it holds up quite well. In a down pour I put my Brush Buster jacket over it for added protection. The P.I.T jacket is the most versitale hunting jacket that I have owned. Not 100% perfect but does 90% of what I need it to do. The reason I give the P.I.T jacket 4 stars is that the color is a little green for Max-4. I hoped that after a couple of years the color would fade, but no luck. I highly recommend this jacket for it's performance and fit. This is a great addition to my duck hunting arsenal."

"I got this jacket on sale and did not expect it to be as waterproof as Gor-Tex or other brands. After huntin ducks in downpours of freezing rain, I would NOT trade this jacket for anything."

"I bought the P.I.T Jacket to replace the Drake Equader 1/4 Zip that I sold. I found that the Drake just didn't breathe as advertised and I would get soaked from sweating on the way to the duck blind. I have several Dry-Plus jackets and IMO they work just as well as Gore-Tex. The P.I.T Jacket is no exception. It lets perspiration escape while keeping the elements out and it's perfect for wearing with waders. I really like the removable hood. It's a great feature. This one's a winner!"

"I am very pleased with this jacket. It kept the wind out, warm for the light insulation it has, and roomy enough for a heavy sweater underneath. The handwarmer pockets on the chest were a wonderful touch. I only wish the pattern covered the entire jacket."

"I really like the coat. The only thing is the Max-4 is brighter and more of a green tint then any other max 4 that I've seen. It doesn't even come close to being the "brown color" as my other hunting clothing. It is warm considering it's isn't all that thick. I would like for it to have snaps in case the zipper ever fails."

"I purchased the cabela's pit jacket during the 2007 Missouri waterfowl season. This jacket is one of the best investments I have made in my waterfowl gear selections. The pit jacket is light but very warm, I was in the water and wind on many days that never reached above 23 degrees and never had a cold chill. The wind stopper material did the job and the upper pockets in the chest area are great for keeping your hands warm when you are wading in a pool. I will never buy a 4 in 1 wading jacket because the cabela's pit jacket worn with a fleece pullover can keep you just as warm and wont restrict your movement. Thanks for making such a great jacket."

"The Drake EQ jackets were out of stock when I called but I needed a jacket after mine was stolen. I tried the P.I.T. jacket thinking I would finish the season with it then use it as a backup when I replaced the Drake. After shooting the last three weeks in duck season with the P.I.T. I am extremely pleased with it and am not sure I don't like it better. It is extremely warm for its weight and holds out rain very well. Its gonna be great for steelheading too!"

"I live on the Canadian East Coast where duck season is early October till January. During this period the weather can range from +15 to -10 Celsius and include sun, snow and/or rain. I used this jacket 3 or 4 times during the early part of the season. The first 2 times I was a bit over dressed, but the last was high winds and rain with the temperature around 0. I was in the blind (which consisted of deadfall and branches) for 6hrs or so, subject to the weather. The jacket kept me both warm and dry. I had reservations about Cabela's Dry Plus vs. Gore-Tex but the Dry Plus worked fine that day. I'll have to wait and see how it holds up after a few more seasons before I can give it a 5th star."
