Great outerwear for cool hunting days,April 7, 2009

"This is a great piece of clothing for spring or fall days by itself. It's extremely comfortable and the pattern is top notch. It does run a bit short in the back if you want to tuck it in. I'm 5'7, 200 pounds and I barely got away with tucking it in and it STAYING in, at the XL Reg size. Also, the openings for the sleeve wrists can fit Hercules, but not me. Despite their two buttons, I had to tighten them up with a third at a tailor. Other than that, this thing is great and I am looking forward to autumn 2009. Thanks!"

A little big, a little heavy,March 1, 2009

"My expectations when I ordered a non-insulated, polyester shirt was just that - light weight, comfortable, highly visible. That's not the case on the first two items. It's more of medium weight (if not heavier) with an inside material of corduroy. In addition the shirt is at least one size larger and the sleeves were very long for a medium. Also the buttons on the sleeves were not in the right place. I'm used to sleeves being a little long, but usually when you button the shirt sleeve, it holds it snug against your wrists. Even when buttoned using the inner most button, my total hand slipped easily through the opening. The inner most button would have to moved over a least an inch before my hand would not pass through. Very strange as Cabelas items are usually well thought out and designed. So returning this one but still a 20 year plus Cabelas fan and will find something else on which to spend my Cabelas Bucks and gift certificates."

"Shirt is of excellent quality materials and workmanship. Feel is chamois soft out of the package before washing. The Hardwoods pattern is perfectly balanced without being overbearing against the blaze background. Two large chest pockets will suffice to hold smaller items, ie. range finder, etc.
The shirt will provide a layer of warmth on cool mornings and is generously cut to allow layering underneath. I specifically purchased for the hot & humid days of archery season in east TX; admittedly, it may be heavier than what I would prefer, then again it will be lighter than wearing an orange vest over a shirt. Surely, my fellow southerners can relate!!
Overall, excellent shirt that will ease my vest into retirement.
I would be very interested in a long sleeve, button down shirt with cape vented back in this pattern or Cabelas Seclusion 3D using nylon or the silent weave line material. Call it the Hot-N-Humid Special!!

"This is a shirt that's, warm, quiet, long tailed it feels good wearing it in the wood's. The only thing I see wrong with it is that it is bigger in size than most shirts that I wear, which is XL this fits me more like its a XXL or XXXL. It also has two large flaped pockets to put gear in, over all I would recommend this shirt to any one and you may want to try a size smaller than normal"

"I was able to wear the shirt during Colorado's 1st and 2nd elk seasons 2008. It performed well and the only problem I had was, I should have purchased the tall version, as the back shirt tail was too short and would come untucked. Other than that, I loved the shirt."

"Good quality, but heavier in weight then I would prefer. Your version of the same shirt that I bought 10 to 15 years ago was only one layer of fabric. It had the same soft additional layer inside the neck and shirt cuffs, a very good feature; but did not have a full lining throughout of the same material, like the current version has. I want the shirt for early season, often very warm hunting days. I do not heed the extra weight or warmth provided by the current model, even though I recognize that what I bought is not the insulated version."
