"Just bought a couple of these vests for my son and I before heading out in early Nov. for our late whitetail hunt. Really impressed with the vest....the quality and style. My son and I usually wear an XL, but after reading reviews suggesting these run small, or rather a more athletic cut, I chose to go with 3X rather than taking a chance on a 2X being a little restrictive. The 3X is a perfect fit especially when going over outer garments....and a comfortable non restrictive, not too large fit over lighter laying when the heavier jacket comes off in the afternoon. Very nice product.....pleased."

"Just Received today. I was a little skeptical about sizing and quality due to other reviews. Size- I ordered and XL, I typically wear Large or XL, depends on how the company cuts their clothes (for the 'modern' American or a more athletic build). This vest i would say is cut 'athletic'. It will fit over a few layers (under armor, polyprop, and a light jacket, but probably not a whole parka. So if you are athletic or on the thinner side, order one size larger to layer, if you are 'modern' (overweight, big belly, etc) order at least two sizes larger to layer.
Fabric- Seems a little light and weak, one reviewer had a button tear through so i test that and i can see it happening, but mine held. It's not a thick fleece, just like fleece. However the camo looks great.. I want to get suited up fully and take a Black and white picture to "see what the deer see"
Overall- Yes, I'd buy it again and recommend it to a friend, trying it on in real life would be helpful but i rolled the dice and won. 4 stars because i still would not consider it "perfect." If it felt more sturdy everything else equal it would have been a 5."

"I purchased this vest for my cousin for Christmas. He lives far away and we don't see each other much, so it's difficult to figure out what to get him. I know he enjoys all kinds of hunting, and my husband loves the things he gets from Cabela's so I checked out the catalog online. It was easy to pick something out for him (without knowing an exact size) that was in my price range. I couldn't wait for him to open it at Christmas. He loved it! He wasn't sure if it was the color camoflauge that he wanted, but it was no big deal because I had included all of the shipping and return information that was sent along with the item. I would recommend this item and also just the ease of ordering and returning that Cabelas offers"

"This is a nice vest and very suprisingly warm. The pockets are well thought out and convenient. My only complaint is the sleeve openings are too small. The size I ordered fits well, except the sleeve openings are very tight on my upper arms/shoulders, even making it a slight pain to put on/off."

"Should be cut larger. XXL way too small. XL barely fit my daughter. Usually you wear this during gun season. That's when it's cold. You have to wear it over other garments. Well, if you wear it like that order it 2-3 sizes larger than normal."

"Overall, this is a great product. Very well made. Held up well to washing, and does not attract burrs. It does seem to be sized for warm weather hunting, i.e. without a lot of layers under it. If you hunt where you need several layers, order the next size up."
