There's a reason why it's called a smart rangefinder. Who wants to haul two pieces of gear into the backcountry when
you can take one that does it all? See the light yet? Leupold's RXB-IV 9x32 Rangefinder Binoculars pack multiple
customizable features into this new waterproof, rubber-armored 9X unit. It ranges reflective targets out to 1,500 yards
and big game at up to 800 yards. Don't be fooled again by the straight-line readings of other rangefinders; this one
has built-in true ballistics using an inclinometer that corrects measurements of uphill and downhill shots commonly
missed. The Quick Set Rotary Menu™ assists you with a host of features, including getting your bearings with a
magnetic inductor compass. It corrects common compass error between magnetic north and true north with the
declination setting. Compass tilt compensation gives you accurate readings anywhere. See through brush and branches
using long-range mode. Rain mode filters out interference that plagues other rangefinders. First and last target modes
focus on those objects close and far away when there's more than one in view. With the Wind River you won't be limited
to just one mode at a time. Use modes simultaneously to achieve the most accurate range possible. Multicoated lenses
for clear visibility.

"I am now on the third pair of these because I contunue to send them back and Leupold continues to replace them. Use them for 10 to 30 ranges and the battery needs replacing. I send them back and get new ones.....same problem. I am going to something else."

Leupold 9x32 RXB-IV Rangefinding Binoculars,July 14, 2009
By lrreeves1from New Mexico
"Although the fit, finish and optics were good all the settings were confusing and in my opinion could cost you a trophy in the field. I would like to have the same quality, but without all the fancy settings, so I returned the unit."

Unit is pretty much worthless,January 4, 2009
By pheasant87
"I purchased one of these units this summer and it worked great all summer and i was looking forward to using it for deer hunting. When i took it out opening morning it would not range a deer or anything. It would work for a little bit until it got too cold and then it would not work at all. I thought maybe i got a bad unit so i exchanged it and had the same thing happen. This one will be going back as well! I would expect better from leupold i am very dissapointed. If all of your hunting is in 40 degrees plus this would be a nice thing to have but anything colder and this unit is worthless!"

Review 5 for Leupold 9x32 RXB-IV Rangefinding Binoculars
"Excellent product! It eliminates the need for carrying binolculars and a range finder. The binoculars give you a much better perspective than the monocular on other range finders. It gives a sharp image at any range and the range finder function is extremely quick and accurate out to plus 800 yards on non-reflective objects. Couldn't be more pleased!
Also, Leupold service is amazing - I lost the case which came with this unit while hunting. I contacted Leupold via email and within a week, I received a new case at no additional cost. It doesn't get much better than that!"

By ObsessedArcheryHunterfrom Spokane,WA
"I have owned these for 3 years and I just started getting the battery problem; I sent them back to Leupold and they are sending me a brand new version. I have used these for hunting deer, elk, etc. Easy to hold with one hand and rangefind; also clear and soft on the eyes. I love them would go without."

Second pair are superb,May 17, 2008
By swizzleshootfrom Eagle Point, OR
"Bought a pair last February and the batteries were going dead during a half days use. Wrote an e-mail to Leupold and they asked me to send them back. They checked them out and replaced the unit. The new pair has had the same battery in there for two months of off and on use without dropping a bar on the battery scale. Optics are great and Leupold's service has always been exempliary on the rare times I've needed them. I read the other reviews and vmonroe needs to figure out the pop-up eye cups that are down for glasses and up for regular guys."

Excellent Binocular/Rangefinder,November 13, 2007
By protagonfrom texas
"I used these binocular rangefinders on a mule deer hunt in New Mexico. The clarity was outstanding, equal to any other binoculars in our group, and they lived up to their 800+ yard range claim on fur bearing animals, and also got consistent readings on rock ledges etc. up to 1000 yards. In bright sunlight the LED readings were somewhat difficult to see, but if you took a measurement then looked to a shaded area they were clear."

Difficult to use,October 22, 2007
By Vmonroe
"I bought combination binocular and rangefinder to use for rifle deer and elk hunting. I found that the rangefinder worked very well in several different modes. I found that the optics were difficult to use. It was difficult to get a good field of view when useing the binoculars, and I had to hold them away from my eyes to get the proper optical view. I also fould that I often could not see the rangefinder display, without shifting the way I held the device, or simply shutting my left eye."

Very good for riffle hunter, usable for arches,October 4, 2007
By Impalafrom Switzerland
"Size is very good, feels good in hand. Sight is good and clear, with good acuity over the whole field of vision. Focussing is not very good, due to missing center focus srew. Excellent rangefinder functions, espesially the True Ballistic Range for both riffle and Bow hunter. LED is hardly readable when focussed on a subject closer than 30 m (Bow hunter) Compas can be usefull."

Great Item,September 25, 2007
By hunter359
"Great for trophy hunting bowhunter. It has good but not great low light capability's but shouldn't effect you with bow sights. Range finder works as advertised."
