"These boots are comfortable, dry, and warm. The only thing I would do different is order a half size bigger as I feel they run smaller than other footwear I have purchased."

Warm Feet!!!,January 1, 2009
By WarBirdfrom Sarasota, Fl. Hunt in Georgia
"I finally found a pair of boots that keep my feet warm with only one pair of socks (wool). The Vibram sole will last forever and they are sewn on ( no more molded on soles for me ). My shoe size is 13 B (narrow) These boots come in D & EE widths only. I am glad they did not come in B widths as they do run narrow. If you wear a D width order the EE's. (see other reviews on this) I doubt I will ever wear these out."

Very Warm,December 30, 2008
By agr1557from Iowa
"I used these deer hunting in Iowa in -20 degree wind chill. They are very warm and have good ankle support. They are a little heavier than my Rockies, but they are warmer and I would recommend to those that hunt in the cold."

Nice Boots,December 22, 2008
By BigEagle72from Nova Scotia, Canada
"Great quality and comfort. Well worth the dollars. Sole feels very stiff at first, but don't let that scare you, as they break in very quickly. Best lacing system I've seen on a boot, plus the lace to toe feature is great for a nice fit. Don't order any bigger than your regular size...I wear 10 EE shoes and ordered 10.5 EE boots and they are plenty big. No worries, as heavy socks (even though I doubt they're required in these 1400 gram babies) and / or an extra insole will do the job. When I have the spare money, I'm buying another pair, as good stuff never seems to stay on the market long (I used to buy Rocky EE's, but they say there's not enough demand, so they stopped making them)."

Artic Bruin Boots,December 22, 2008
By Bwright2from Butler, PA
"These boots seem to be very good. I have hunted in below 30 degrees and have stood for long periods of time on a stand and my feet did not get cold. The only thing to remember when purchasing a pair of these boots is to make sure you get a bigger size. When you put on a pair of light socks and then a heavier pair with the 1400 grams of insulation it becomes pretty tight. I wear a size 8 shoe and the boots I bought are size 9 and they are pretty tight. I think once they get broke in they will be just right."

Cabela's Arctic Bruin Hunting Bootsf,December 18, 2008
By Keith17from Stratford, WI
"I absolutely love these boots. They are extremely warm. The 1400 grams of thinsulate allow you to wear a regular sock. You do not have to wear a big bulky hunting sock. These boots are light weight, and very comfortable."

Cabela's Hunting Boots,December 15, 2008
By FHurstfrom Massachusetts
"Although these boots were a second choice to a name brand manufacturer, (They did not have my size in stock and backorder was too long to wait). I found that the Artic Bruin with 1400 grams of thinsulate are more than adequate for the cost. After a week of some tough terrain and low temps encountered while on stand I am happy that I did purchase them. Break in of the boots was not needed as they fit well right out of the box. I was glad to have ordered the extra wide as this allowed extra socks to be put on without my feet feeling crowded. The tread is very agressive and worked well while covering some of the terrain that I hunt on. I am hoping to get at least 8 - 10 years of use out of theses boots as I did with my last pair by another manufacturer."

Bruins: great buy,December 13, 2008
By slickkn
"I recently spent thanks giving in Missouri. The weather included rain, sleet and snow with the temperature ranging from 17 degrees to about 28 degrees. My Bruins never let me down. They were comfortable, dry and warm. This was my second hunt there and the first time my feet were warm. They fit perfectly. I am a Florida boy so I appreciate the help.
Thanks Cabela's, slick52"

Comfortable and warm,November 23, 2008
By flemingrfrom Southeast, PA
"While it may be too soon to really feel great about this purchase, so far so good. I've worn these boots during some unusually early season cold days in the northeast woods. I've always resisted buying heavily insulated boots not wanting to sacrifice weight for warmth. Walking in these boots all day is a little rough, they are not light weight stalkers. However on those sub freezing mornings waiting for the sun to come up, these boots kept my feet warm and allowed me to hunt longer. I'm looking forward to outlasting my buddies in the field as their toes freeze up in late December and January hunts."

Cabelas Artic Bruin Hunting boots,September 8, 2008
By Mikey84from Ardsley, New York
"Arctic Bruin Hunting Boots serve two purpose for me. First it is a good working boot I am outside especially in the single digit cold and no frost bite is reaching my feet. Second it is a great hunting boot especially when you go through water or swamps in the woods. This boot keeps your feet dry and warm. Overall it is a excellent product to suit my needs. I found to be the best boot that I have owned."

Muskox hunt: comfort in -80 F temps.,March 20, 2008
By MountainMan41from Cohasset, MN
"Just got back from a muskox hunt, which was 50 miles northwest of Kuujjuacq, Quebec. Temps there ranged from zero to -30 F with wind chill down to -80 degrees F. My new Cabela's Arctic Bruin hunting boots were the best investment of my life, as they kept my feet as warm as toast throughout the entire hunting experience. For temps as low as I experienced, I suggest a size boot that is a full size larger than one's street shoes and also one size wider.....wear one pair of light to medium socks and one heavy sock.....this will prevent blisters from developing and also leave room for air-circulation, which is very important in keeping one's toes from getting cold. Muskox bull I took will make the SCI record book (Silver medallion). A hunt in such low temps requires only the best in cold-weather clothing. Don't skimp on quality in order to save a few dollars. One mistake in product choices can mean certain death and it's too late to re-order a better product once you are in the Arctic region. Good luck."
