Beats the muddy trail,

"I purchased these hiking boots and then put them to the ultimate test ATV'ing in the back country of Alaska. For two days we drove our ATV's through mud and water and the boots tested great with no leaks. The boots cleaned up with water and then I used a sueded leather cleaner to finish them up and when I was done they almost looked new. I have a narrow foot and the boots fit well and did an awesome job of protecting my feet and ankles. I would recommend them to anyone."

"I ordered these boots a 1/2 size smaller than my normal size and they fit perfect! i havent tested them for water resistance but hopefully they are. I did spray them with some shoe protector. I am very satisfied with cabela's customer service and helping with my purchase."

Not very comfortable,

"When I first put on the boots there was a pressure point at the seam next to my big toe . I decided to wear them around the house to see if they would start feeling better. There was no heel slip, which is good, but the inside sole felt hard and I was still concerned that the seam may cause blisters on a long hike. I returned them."

"I wore these boots for the first time when it was very rainy and cold. My feet have never been so warm. I did order a half size larger because I use an orthodic. If they remain comfortable when I have to do some walking, then I will be a happy camper."

"Bought these for my wife, besides the size running a bit on the small side (we ordered a size 8 and had to resend for a size 9), so girls order 1/2 to a size lagrer than you would normally. The shoes fit very well, and needed little break in time. My wife loves the boots and we would recommend to anyone who is a light to moderate hiker, which describes my wife, not sure about heavy duty hiking."

"These are good boots at a good price. The only thing is that the left boot is slightly smaller than the right, causing some breaking-in pains. Will be getting a shoe stretcher to remedy the situation."

"I have always had a hard time when it comes to hiking with my shoes slipping or me twisting my ankles. These boots gave my ankles enough support and the grip on them is outstanding, even on slippery sand. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"my wife and daughter were at the store in hamburg. they both loved this shoe. they both wear the same size. the store only had one pair. my daughter won out. my wife has trouble finding shoes to fit her troubled feet so I ordered these on line and paid $12 shipping on already expensive shoes. I want to keep her happy. cabela has good stuff but expensive!"

Great Hiking Boots!,

"My feet have many issues so I need a quality pair of boots. Since I had great results with the Cabela's Snow Runners, I decided to give their hiking boot a try as well. I'm on my feet all day on uneven ground, trails, and fields. The boots were a comfortable fit from the minute I started wearing them but then I decided to give them the ultimate test and wore them hiking in the Porcupine Mountains. We hiked for 4 hours either going uphill or downhill on very rocky trails. These boots gave very stable support, kept my feet from rolling or sliding and kept my feet dry in the wet hiking conditions. At the end of the day, the only thing not sore on me were my feet! I'm impressed with the quality of these boots and highly recommend them."
