Great for the trail or everyday,

"I got these boots for Christmas 2007 and absolutely love them. I wear them most everyday, all day (except when at work) from October thru March and they are the most comforable footwear I own. Great in the snow too. Haven't done alot of hiking in them, but I'm sure they measure up there as well. Despite all the wear, they still look like the day I bought them."

"Overall, I was very pleased with the comfort, traction, and durability of this boot. The one problem I did have is that the sizing runs about a half size smaller than one's normal boot size. This necessitated the return of the original pair that I received. But the second pair fit great and was wonderful. My wife and I went to Vermont for a little vacation and I used these hiking, on trails, and even through streams. Through it all, my feet stayed dry and comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone, with the caveat of ordering one half size larger than normal."

"very dissappointed with these new hickers.As a landscaper I`m in the water,the dirt,the mud and these are just falling apart. The laces are frayed and need to be replaced. The water proffing is gone. The seams are splitting and separting. I`m very hard on shoes. These shoes are very comfortable. But, they are not very durable."

"these hikers are probably great hikers for the mall but in the real world of hiking they are terrible. They have no arch support(so I put in an insole) they have no sole so you feel each and every rock that you step on and believe me a 56 mile hike has a lot of rocks! I would never recommend these to anyone, you get what you pay for and these are a poor choice for hiking."

"These needed no break in, I wore them up a mountain on 2 different days medium difficulty trail with some rocks. They were very good. I dont know about how water proff they may be. Im counting on the goretex working good as this is the main reason I got them."

"I've worn these shoes at my office, while working a gun show with a dealer (lots of standing and walking) and while scouting some new hunting property. I have had no issues with them and have found them to be very comfortable."

"I have about 75 miles on these hikers so far and they are great.
Gortex is a big feature as well nice to have dry feet at the end of the day when others are wet.
The cushion and soles are great also, not rigid but provide great support and traction on wet and dry terrian
The fit is good and true to size, no breakin required"

"Recently purchased a pair of these in mid-April...The second time I laced them up one of the web straps holding a lace eyelet pulled loose...I was only wearing them around the house at the time to break them in and I wasn't putting much stress on them at all...Shipped them back and recieved a replacement pair a few days ago...Put them on today for the first time, wore them around the house and out to the mailbox and a few minutes ago I noticed a strap had pulled loose AGAIN, this time one closest to the toe...They were quite comfortable and I like the looks but after two problems with the lacing straps I doubt I'm going to be exchanging these for the same style..."

"I had bought a similiar pair of these 5 years earlier. The new models are not nearly as comfortable andwhile saying size 11.5 actually was an 11 as determined by the insert. They were returned due to sizing problems"

"This is the third trail hiker bought from Cabela's. The other two were great and good value for money. This looks to be just as good. My husband and I have just been back from a hiking trip and although these shoes were hardly broken into, they delivered! Great item from Cabela's."

These shoes stink . . . literally.,

"They fit. They provide good traction. They are stable. They are great for warm weather hiking. Unfortunately, they stink. I do not have "smelly feet" and I do not have this problem with any other footwear or any other hiking boots, for that matter. These guys got wet once and from that point onwards, they took on an odor that could not be mitigated - and I have tried lots of remedies. They may have been made with fabric that was not resistant to mildew - I don't know. But I may have to return them to Cabelas and try another kind."

"i bought these in march of '08 for my job as a desert tour guide. there was no break in which was nice. my only negative comments would be that they were a 1/2 size too large and that they seem to be wearing out quickly. i do use them often and wore them at times on my motorcycle trip from arizona to sturgis. i also took them elk hunting and was wearing them when i took a nice 6 x 7 bull this year. i chose them because of their lightweight and comfort."

Great Boot,

"This is my second pair. My first pair lasted over 6 years and finally wore out. I have spent much more on boots but have never found a pair of boots that I have loved as much. They require no break in, are waterproof, and very comfortable. I was worried my replacements would not be as good as the originals, so I hung on to my broken down originals just in case. I am pleased to report I finally retired my originals for good. You can't go wrong with these boots."

"These shoes are very supportive and moderately comfortable. They seem true to size and width and are well made. I like the fact that they are water and stain resistant. If I could change anything about them, I think I would add a bit more cushioning in the foot. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase."
