Computes water temperature with a one-second response
Identifies thermoclines
Displays water clarity
Recommends lure colors and types
All the information you need to judge the fishing quality of a section of water and locate feeding fish is instantly
displayed on this easy-to-use meter. The PCP 100 Probe measures light intensity to 50 ft. and computes temperature
(30°-90°F) with a one-second response time. It's so fast, it can even identify thermoclines. Plus, it
displays water clarity from zero to 6 ft., percent of visibility, dissolved oxygen content and even recommends lure
colors and type from the all-time 12 top producers. Includes probe, 50 ft. cable, storage spool and attachment, battery
and comprehensive guidebook. One-year manufacturer's warranty.

Don't Bother,June 23, 2009
By Kevlinfrom Seattle, WA
"Very cheaply made. Screws fell out and started falling apart during first use. Water clarity function never changes, regardless of conditions."

Temperature OK,July 3, 2008
By BruceStfrom Connecticut
"The temperature meter works fine and as described. I'm not sure I believe the oxygen reading becuse it isn't measured directly, but I only bought the meter for temperature, so it's not an issue for me. I fish from a conventional kayak (not a sit on top), so it's a bit large and difficult to store. It would be nice if the sensor somehow clipped to the hand unit. The manual is very repetitious. It has a few good points, then repeats them over and over."

cable depth,September 14, 2007
By castmaster
"Works very good. But the problem that I see is that the cable length only goes to 50 ft. I fish some mountain lakes where the water is very deep and the thermocline seems to be deeper than the 50 ft. cable. The temp. at surface can be 70 degrees and at 50 ft. cable length temp. will be 68. To make a long story short the cable needs to be 100 ft. so we can find where the thermocline is. I know the unit works because at a lake close to my home which is not so deep I had no problem locating thermocline 40 ft... The surface temp was 70 and at 40 ft. it was 52. so I know the unit works."

Temp gauge,September 10, 2007
By Orangegoo
"I have a digital temperature Gauge from the WI DNR My new ProCatch Plus Oxygen/Temp Meter is off about 1.5 degrees. Or one of the gauges is off. I suspect the latter. Its not as instant as it is bragged to be. It takes a while to get the temperature to stay steady."

Unimpressive Quality,August 27, 2007
By CaptMorganfrom Durango, CO
"I was pleased when I came across this affordable temperature meter with the ability to detect light intensity. The oxygen content indicator was a bonus. I tried it out right after receiving it with disappointing results. It seemed to work well for a minute or two but then the temperature indication began to fluctuate wildly and finally settled on a temperature in the mid 90's. The unit's temperature sensing range is supposedly 30 deg. to 90 deg. Likewise, the light intensity indication began to fluctuate until it settled on the 0%-20% clarity range. Neither of these indications were remotely credible as it indicated the same at all depths on a cloudless day and in a cool crystal clear lake at an elevation of over 8,000'. I haven't the slightest idea whether the dissolved oxygen content meter was accurate but it seems moot. When I retrieved the probe, it was filled with water. I suspect it should not have been. Additionally, the on/off switch quit working and I had to remove the battery to turn the unit off. There may be some useful information in the guidebook which accompanies the device but it did tend to read like a sales pitch. I may have gotten a lemon but I don't feel that this was a quality product to begin with."

impressive,June 14, 2007
By fishfrenzyfrom Asheville, North Carolina
"I was impressed with the product and how fast the reaction times were with the readings, very important to us who know that finding the thermocline is a must in certain game fish. I was also impressed with the light readings now you can tell just how much light was visible at a certain depth making it easier to choose the right color to fish with. Last but not least the dissolved oxygen readings, something i was not realy familiar with but after reading the guide book made alot of sence, certain fish like a certain oxygen level, now just drop in the probe to the desired depth push a button and there you have it. overall a great product and have recomended it to many."

Probe came apart,May 21, 2007
By cerndofrom Regina, SK
"The probe on this product came apart after the first time I used it. The mating pieces of the plastic do not seem to be designed too well offering only a small male/female lip for the adhesive. A better design for the two adjoining pieces is in order."
