"This is my first year bow hunting. I figured I should get the best, so when I walked by it in the store, it caught my eye right away. I can not compare it to anything else besides the homemade wooden tree stand I used to hunt out of and well, there is just no comparison. People complain about the blind being noisy because of the velcro, I find that a lot of hunting stuff contains velcro and I just can't understand it. They put so much money into making fabric quiet and stealthy then make velcro pockets. Anyway, just deploy the blind right after you get to the top of the tree, you probably made so much noise by walking to the tree and unloading all your gear it won't much matter anyways. I can't wait for Christmas so I can get the foot rest, accessory pouches and the bow holder!"

"I rate this 4 & 1/2 stars.
A very impressive stand and easy to assemble. It is a larger stand so backpacking it in should be considered before you make this purchase if you also carry a full pack. Not a problem if a fanny pack will get you through the day.
I purchased the foot rest for this stand based on suggestion. Definitely get the foot rest. For the price, it would have been nice to see it included. I also ordered a second set of stirrups just for keeping. Not necessary though. Just peace of mind.
I'm not a big fan of camouflage tape which comes with this stand. There are cheaper and smaller Summit stands that are already camouflaged. I feel this stand should have come complete in that regard. Again, no biggie but it would have been nice for the price. I have no plans to use the tape.
The drop down blind is a nice feature to the stand. However, the deployment process is noisy as heck. I would think real hard about making sure deployment is safe for your current position so as not to spook anything.
Recap:
PLUSES- very comfortable seat, easy assembly, climbs easy, high density foam for the platform(easy on your feet if you stand a lot), pockets in the seat for heat pads or anything else. Excellent and informative CD.
MINUSES- Bulky(expected given the size), noisy blind deployment, foot rest not included, non-camouflaged frame.
All in all, its a really nice stand if you can see your way through the minuses I listed. The most important minus to keep in mind is the blind deployment. The others you can deal with.

"this is a very nice climbing stand that is very quiet and is comfortable. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because of the seat straps. At first, I had the seat straps adjusted about mid-length. The front strap made my legs uncomfortable. I readjusted the straps and extended them the entire length. This made the seat comfortable but when climbing and descending from the tree it getsin the way a little. The second thing that might make this stand better is a foot rest. Overall, this is a lightweight, quiet, comfortable to carry and a very versatile stand."

"This tree stand climbs well, has a very comfortable seat and the drop down blind greatly aids in the stealth of the hunt. There are only two things I am going to change. The gunrest pad should cover the whole gunrest area, and the straps are not comfortable on a carry with enough gear for a full day sit in the northeast. This stand is durable and quiet on the climb and has allowed me many more hours in the woods this year. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone...and already have to a few. Whitetail stalker vermont"

"Never used a climber before and decided to get the best....and honestly it was the seat that got me. The dvd was perfect for me also, it clearly explains how to assemble and use the stand. So, for a first timer like myself...I was able to unbox it, assemble it, and use it in an afternoon hunt in two hours. The seat was perfect, total comfort. The climber was very easy to use and once I got the rhythm down for going up...it was a piece of cake. The foot pad is awesome...way better on my legs. The padding on the bars is perfect. The weight of the stand is great and easy for me to carry like a back pack. My only gripe is the drop down camo skirt. Im not letting it affect my rating, because I dont see a way to improve it. My complaint is that when you need to let the camo out...it makes tons of noise due to the velcro sleeve that holds it in. Regardless Im keeping it on my stand, because its a great blind. So if your thinking of buying a climber, spend the extra money on this one. The add ons like the camo, blind, gun rest and seat are worth it....not gimmickee at all."

"This probably isn't a fair review because I am extremely smitten with Summit Climbers. In my opinion this is the granddaddy of climbers. It is safe beyond compare although I always wear a safety harness when using it, (The one that comes with it is great). If I had to complain about anything, then it would be the fact that it is too comfortable and I'm sure that I missed the opportunity at a few large bucks because I was sleeping when they walked by. All joking aside, cause I really wasn't joking about sleeping but, it creates a much more comfortable environment when staying in the stand all day during those chase periods. I ordered the optional Foot Rest and in my opinion Summit should have thrown that in with it as well. You just have to have that Foot Rest, trust me on that! Everything else is great, the padded floor, the adjustable gun rest, padded arm rests, the camo skirt that stores away and not to forget that great wrap around seat. It is so comfortable. Try a Summit Stand and I'm sure you will be hooked on them like me. I have two so far and will not even consider looking at any other. I have used others. This is a good product. Please have a safe and enjoyable time afield - See Ya'"

"This is the first climber I have owned, and I used ladder stands before this. This stand is excellent. I bought the stand from Cabela's and that afternoon put it together on the tailgate and hunted in it. That night I left the woods in the dark, I forgot a flashlight and still easily packed it in the dark. I would recommend a summit climber to anyone who wants a light, easy, quick and quiet setup."
